Colibri: A Tribute

Just figured I had to share this video, from one of the few channels I subscribe to on YouTube:

Jebus, from the thread title I thought he had died!

Not today, anyway.

Holy shit, I didn’t even think about that!

Fascinating narrative.

Anyway, thanks for the link! There’s some very cool footage, and the commentary is pretty funny as well.

That’s some good stuff, right there.

I had the same problem.

That was great! Thanks for posting it.

Might be appropriate to edit the title to something like “A tribute to Hummingbirds (Colibri)”.

It matches the OP’s intent without scaring half the board that it’s an obit.

What a great combination of info/humor!

Colibri - what - if any - is your connection w/ that video? (Sorry, don’t fully understand the thread title.)

The Narrator sounds familiar … is he the Dear Diary Cat guy? It is! He also does the Dear Kitten Friskies ads.

Only my username. Colibri is Spanish for hummingbird. I did my thesis on hummingbirds in Panama. My avatar is the Green Violet-ear Colibri thalassinus.

It’s an inside joke.

This sometimes happens to Warrior Junkies.

That video is hilarious! What a great way to learn.

I’ll be doggoned. Ninja’d My daughter showed me that video two days ago and I considered posting it here for @Colibri.

Very funny video. Was it pretty accurate?

In terms of the factual information, as far as I could see it was entirely accurate.

Yes, it’s the same guy: zefrank1. He’d been a prolific YouTuber, with the True Facts videos, and the cat diaries, among others, but he then stepped away from doing them for a couple of years. He started making new videos, like the hummingbird one, last year.

My favorite of his is “True Facts About Morgan Freeman.”

I was standing outside yesterday afternoon observing our dogs running around in the meadow. Right next to me was a big, beautiful plant my gf had planted. as I was standing there, a hummingbird flew up and began investigating the flowers within inches of my head. I stood perfectly still, moving only my eyes. As I watched the bird, so was he observing me.

Happy to hear Colibri is ok. :relieved:

Oh I so wish there were colibris/hummingbirds in Europe! Such extraordinary animals… never seen one in person.
PS: I also like penguins and bats and mushrooms and worms and butterflies… and so on, but hummingbirds are among the favourites.
