Don’t have much else to add here that isn’t covered in the thread title. It is just plain bad, not funny, not amusing, not cute, not original, just bad.
Uhhh, Ohhh, but what do I know? Thank you Ladies and Gentleman. Uhhhh…
Fagjunk Theology: Not just for sodomite propagandists anymore.
What’s sad was to watch Jon Stewart have him on as guest twice in the past two weeks. They’re obviously friends, but even while Jon was plugging the show non-shop and sucking up to Quinn with loudly pursed lips he could not succeed in coaxing one funny line out of him.
That two week try-out a few months back didn’t convince Comedy Central that this was a train wreck?
CC must be a federally subsidized public works program for unemployed former SNL cast members who can’t get real work.
Colin Quinn - Maybe Denis Leary, Jon Stewart, and that bunch look at him as their hard luck buddy who they have to look out for and keep getting him work because they like the guy but he’s such an unfunny loser these days.
Victoria Jackson - Worthless flunkie role on Strip Mall.
Jim Breuer - Apparently has a show in the works, plus they keep airing his pathetic stand-up specials and Half-Baked.
Martin Short - That Primetime Glick bullshit. Your tired schtick’s not funny even when you try to dress it up in a fat suit, Marty. And you were dragging down Michael McKean (who can be funny) with you.
The only time I ever found Colin Quinn even remotely entertaining was when he was on that great old MTV gameshow Remote Control.
I mean, most Saturday Night Live cast members are young comedians whose careers are just beginning. With the exception of Phil Hartman (whose excused for being one of the best performers to ever on the show) I think he’s the oldest performer to ever join the cast of the show.
Why does he keep getting work? He’s about as funny as testical cancer.
