There aren’t any super sexy games this week. SEC match ups include Tennessee-Florida and LSU-Auburn. Bama plays Colorado St. Ole Miss is idle, and Miss State plays Troy.
For those that like blowouts, Ohio State is up 55-0 on Florida A&M at halftime. Louisville is up 45-0 on FIU.
I don’t mind OSU blowing out Florida A&M like they did. The actions of that school and their band are criminal. Hopefully, that will hurt their recruiting.
We start conference play next week against Boston College and it looks like a good time to start; we basically rolled over our first 3 opponents. Lots of confidence, no serious injuries and a lot of real game experience for our offense will hopefully translate to a season flu of Ws.
Michigan stayed undefeated but they feel like a 2-2 team with close calls against Akron and UConn. The sad part is that they’ll still be favored in the Legends division with Michigan State and Nebraska looking very vulnerable as well. The only team that looks competent is Northwestern, but they haven’t played anyone in the top half of the NCAA. I guess we’ll know more in 2 weeks when Northwestern and Ohio State play.
Might as well call this Blowout Saturday. I saw reports that the Louisville game used a running clock for the last 18 minutes, and the Miami game only played 12 minutes in the 4th quarter.
I noticed in the OSU game that in the fourth quarter the clock didn’t stop for first downs. Is there a rule that if the game is out of reach they stop doing that?
