Whatever the explanation from NCAA is, we can be sure that if the roles were reversed and it were Western Michigan that needed a second added to the clock, the refs would never have done it for them.
You can bet that the NCAA wouldn’t be saying that they have no means to change the outcome of a game if the roles had been reversed. They have one set of rules for the “in” crowd and another set for the outies.
Seems to me the NCAA can do whatever the fuck they want. They revoked Bush’s Heisman, void championships and wins all the time. They could fix this if they wanted.

I was enjoying watching Kentucky whip up on Alabama. They were ahead 17 to (whatever) and were looking tough. Then the local feed went Kaput for a while, and when it came back, it was Alabama 31-17. 
First time in CFB history that a team broke a double-digit losing streak with a win over a top-10 team.

I was born in Indiana. I always disliked Kentucky, specifically their sports teams (with the exception of the Louisville Bats. I’m a huge baseball fan, enough so it could overcome regional rivals).
I then lived in Kentucky for several years, so that dislike intensified.
I moved to Alabama about a month ago. I was delighted with today’s game.
F Texas, F Sark, F Manning. But really I don’t care. This was one of those games where I wanted both teams to lose.
Watching Southern Cal now. Gonna be a loooong night…
