You know the interwebs are teeming with videos of high school and college age guys doing stupid things…lighting themselves on fire, trying to do backflips, drinking flaming cocktails…sometimes all at one time!
I have heard that the part of the brain that regulates impulse control and risk management does not form completely until around 25. These guys obviously are right on track.
The video:
It appears that a college journalist is interviewing a student about his plans for halloween. Another student in a mask leaps out of a trash can to scare the interviewee.
Man - that dude has some fast hands…hopefully this sped up their risk management development a bit.
Video is SFW if you are allowed to view videos at work. There is no profanity or sexual content.
Nice technique. He pops the guy in the mask and then disengages, moving back while keeping his fists up and his eye on his assailant. The guy in the mask totally deserved it.
When I was a kid, I hit around a corner and jumped out at my sister yelling BOO! She punched me hard enough to give me a bloody nose. It was a deserved lesson I never forgot. (Now I attack her from behind. )
Judging by the way the puncher pulls back suddenly, I think he was very surprised by his own actions. However, he turned around awfully quickly in response to the noise. And that was a swift powerful punch. The jury is still out.
newcrasher, this is a dumb video which entertains us with stupidity. For attempting to bring honest intellectual knowledge in here means you must reciprocate with another dumb video to distract us with.
Here’s what I think happened: The set-up was for him to punch the guy but for him to pull his punch. He accidentally connected and nailed the trash can guy hard.
Look at the reactions. The punch looks totally staged. Then, his reaction was like, “Oops, I made a mistake here.”
Also. Look how he’s standing. And look how is head is cocked a little while he’s talking to the reporter and look closely at his eyes. It appears that he’s concentrating on the trash cans and waiting for the guy to pop out.
