It dawned on me that October 21st also is my nephew’s third birthday (also known as The Blizzard Baby because he was born so close to the Oct. 97 blizzard and he was jaundiced during it – pretty scary time for my brother and sis-in-law.)
Anyhow, here’s the scoop:
Either we find another date for meeting at Dave and Busters or someone else needs to be in charge of this Dopefest…
So, I am willing to not be a part of it because Athena HAS to attend a damn Dopefest or we change the date. We do have some out of towners looking to be there as well.
If I can get around it I will, but my family is pretty freaky about me and not doing family stuff and it is a nephew’s birthday.
Who is willing to take over the Oct 21st gathering? I will help out in any way I can since I started it and may be able to attend but if my family has a party for my nephew there is no way in hell I can go :(.
Look, I will try to make it, and I am willing to continue with the plans and make the arrangements but my concern is that my family will have a complete meltdown (nothing new there) if they have a “party” for my nephew.
I will discuss it with my brother to find out what the scoop is.
Regardless, I am asking all those that plan to attend to email me so I can get the idea of everyone who is planning to attend. In addition to that, I want email addresses so I can help coordinate this…I want to know that anyone that plans to attend has a central point of contact, me, even if I am not there…
