And that means that I’m ready to come out of my self-imposed seclusion, and hang around with some folks!
I was thinking perhaps we could all meet up downtown somewhere, and maybe catch an early dinner at someplace hip, like J.B.'s Mongolian Barbeque. From there, there’s a whole host of drinking establishments that we could freak. I mean frequent.
Regardless, I’m ready to do this, and soon! Let me know!
See, your fellow CoDopers don’t care about you, but I do. I would love to get together and do something with you. Sadly, I’m in Mn and am not coming to Co in the near (or even distant) future. Just know that I’d like to though.
It’s not that us CO dopers don’t care to hang out with Mr. Cynical, I was (and this might sound kind of lame) told by another Doper that my presence in person is not wanted…not by the OP mind you but it was said, so I will let the rest of the CO Dopers gather without my intrusive presence.
Jesus, that’s nice techie. Anyway, I was only kidding. Who doesn’t care about MrC??
ChiefScott, I was actually in Norfolk not too long ago. (Last July or something.) It’s a nice place and I was actually considering moving near there. I got to see a few ships, too. That was cool.
Well, being a newbie, I’ve never been to a Doper gathering or met any other Dopers, and I’d really like to. Count me in! It would have to be on a weekend, unless it’s during a shutdown week for my company, because I work second shift. Also, I’d very much like to meet Techchick, but if there is someone else, among the expected attendees that she doesn’t get along with, I can understand why she wouldn’t want to be there. I’d like to meet people from other states too. I wish I could go to all of the Dopefests!
I think that I’m going to be at the Rockies game on April 14th, at around 1PM mountain time. The game should last till say, 4 PM. Add walking time in there, and I could be anyplace by 5 PM on the 14th of April, which is, of course, a Saturday.
Sounds good to me! I get out of my cardio kickboxing class in Wheatridge at five & can be downtown shortly thereafter. I’ll be sweaty & not overly dressed up, so Mortons is probably out…
I suppose I’m game. I might recommend a place like Good Friends on Colfax to start from, however. The name seems to work better, and somehow Capital Hill seems more doperdom than downtown.
TV time I was going to suggest Goodfriends! Mr Cynical indicated he might be on foot downtown, though…I lost interest in Lodo several years ago. Too many darn yuppies & sports bars for my blue collar tastes. The Wynkoop used to be my absolutely favourite place though. And the Cheesecake Factory…oooooooh yum.
Unfortunately, I left Denver (specifically, the Berkeley/West Highlands area) about a month and a half ago, so I won’t be there. I don’t miss the yuppies, pretentiousness or real estaet prices … but I cry when I think of the beer I left behind …
