I won’t be able to make it tonight. I have a late appointment…My mother is visiting for dinner…
I ran out of gas…I had a flat tire…I didn’t have enough money for cab fair…my tux didn’t come back from the cleaners…an old friend came in from out of town…someone stole my car…there was an earthquake…a terrible flood…locus!.. It wasn’t my fault I swear to Goddd!!!

Oh man I wish I lived in Colorado. I just went out there this summer to my friends dads house. He lives in Evergreen. He is one of the top guys at IBM and has 168 acres on top of Squaw Mountain. Colorado is an amazing place by itself, but its even better to cruise through Denver in a Hummer and then take a ride down to Colorado Springs! Definitely a place I would love to be in the winter.
Sorry monster and Mr. Cynical (I know you can’t see this at the moment as you are probably enjoying a cold brew) but after today’s commute home there is no way in hell I am making that drive.
There was an accident at Interquest Parkway (just north of the Springs) that shut down the north bound lanes. Traffic was literally backed up 10 miles according to the news…what normally would take me 20 minutes to get home took me an hour and that was going the back roads once I actually got off the highway, I think everyone else had the same idea. Sufficed to say I am no mood to drive north.
According to the news the back-ups continue as of this writing.
If I do this on a Friday, I think I should make an afternoon of it. Go up and walk around Park Meadows, have lunch with one of my old MCSE instructors, etc.

Just got back from JD’s. Met Mr. Cynical and monster. We had a good time, too bad more couldn’t make it. Monster took a boat load of pictures. Mr. Cynical and Monster are pretty cool people, we’ll have to get together again when more can show up.
