Colorless Mafia

Well, I played this one like crap. (Also, nice going Scum). Sorry guys, I actually was reading through yesterday’s arguments and was going to shift my vote to Meeko but then I realized the kill had already happened.

ETA And I should have trusted my OMGUS-related instincts; MentalGuy and Drain both seemed to be stretching to add to a “me too” vote piggybacking on Story. Oh well.

I should have switched to Meeko. I had the post typed out. I was going to do it right before the deadline.

And I didn’t. Because all my proclamations to the contrary aside, I knew if I made a last minute switch then no matter what Meeko came up, I was definitely getting lynched the next Day. I let concern over my own well-being over-ride my game judgment. Stupid, stupid, stupid. I won’t do that again.

Drain played a really nice game in particular, and Scum in general did a nice job of dragging their tails out of the fire after some really REALLY scuzzy play as regards amrussell on Day One.

Yes, Drain and Mental played very well especially in regards to how they voted. They waited patiently and allowed the Town to slowly chew off it’s own leg. They made the ‘pro-town arguments’ and were always willing to bus a teammate, so when Town went off looking for those who manipulated the vote, they didn’t look at them. IN all, it was brilliant and lucky.

If only the Town had gone after Drain who was actually roleblocked and not Red who was innocent…of course, the Scum didn’t block that Night, because they were afraid the roleblocker might have a bead on Meeko or Drain, and they didn’t want their kill blocked…so Mental had to do it.

FWIW, I probably wouldn’t have voted for you, story. I was trying everything I could think of to get peek or alka to just switch their vote to meeko.

Peeker, peeker, peeker… :stuck_out_tongue:

i mean i’ve fucking tried to kill just about everyone in this game and they’ve all been town. how fucking horrible can i be? there should be a new scum role in upcoming games. a town aligned peek vig. fuck probably about a twelve on the jsex formula.

that’s the pm i sent ed last night.

fuck, i suck as town.

hangs head in shame.

and story i never once tried to kill you. even though it went against my nature. so maybe i am marginally redeemable.

And good game scummies!

Thanks for running the show, Ed.

If we’d killed Meeko last night, I would suddenly have been confirmed; wonder if that would have brought my Day 5 suspicions back into focus. (Day 5, when I completely didn’t give a crap and basically was hoping to die and get out of the game; the only day when I actually had my suspicions on straight. Go figure.)

I thought we were sunk after Day One, when we essentially had to lengthen the game bigtime, and Freudian was already in the fire. The whole Day One, I was holding my breath that she was the other Goon, because she was just so scummy I couldn’t justify not voting for her.

I basically had two goals in this game–to not get investigated, and to set up a few Townies if I bit it. The latter never needed to happen, and the main target of that (Skeezix) died before I did. I think this was probably my best overall game, definitely my best as Scum. I was sweating bullets with a Scum team consisting of me, Freudian, and later Meeko! Thankfully, MG did a kickass job!

For those of you who read the Scum boards now that we’re done, I hope you get a good laugh at just how badly we guessed on the power roles. The night I was blocked, we thought we were aiming for the Cop or the Doc, and I assumed I hit a self-protecting Doc until the real Doc claimed. Then I was SURE Alka was the Cop, until Guiri claimed. Then I was SURE Skeezix was the roleblocker, until Alka claimed…

[vindictive outing]
And for fuck sake, ToeJam is Roosh??? Who knew…
[/vindictive outing]

I kinda tried to drop the word “vanilla” a lot, trying for role wifom, but I have no idea if that had anything to do with being fingered as a power role.

So… uh… anyone thinking of moderating another one? I really need to wash the taste of my own terrible play out as soon as possible!

Wow.

Well done, scum. I knew trouble was ahead when the vote moved off Meeko. :frowning:

That was a fun game to watch! Props, Ed and everyone!

What I can’t believe is that no-one, not even the roleblockers realized that the roleblockers couldn’t roleblock the other roleblocker.

and knowing that would have saved Red and probably led to Meeko’s lynching, but no one ever asked for clarification on that.
Also, I’m sorry for the rules being difficult to understand. I really thought I was pretty clear when I stated them, which is why I never wanted to answer directly. I felt it might be telling if I answered questions.

Wait, what? When did that happen?

 Where did you get that from?

Very well played scum team, and thanks for modding Ed and Normal.

I had a poor read on the game towards the end, and knew it, which is why I was so willing to push the Red lynch on mechanics. YesterDay, I withheld my analysis because I wanted to force the scum to make a move without knowing which way I’d jump, and I was hoping for some pro-town advice from someone. An important point that no-one raised, only scum were in a position to know if their killer was blocked night 3. This might have affected their decision to try and game the town blocker night 5 (if that’s why they did it).

The derailing of the Freudian trains caused absolute chaos, it left such a mess behind to analyse. Her claim was not at all believable, it was disappointing that town was too scared to lynch her.

Ed, that is hugely frustrating for me, #67 clearly says:

Town Roleblocker:
Win Condition: You win when all Scum and the SK are dead.
Power: Each Night, you may PM us the name of one player. That player will be prevented from performing any actions for that Night.

How on earth can that mean that one roleblocker can’t block another?

I do appreciate the time and effort it takes to mod games, and that it’s really tricky to get rules posts completely unambiguous, but that doesn’t make any sense.
