It was on at 7:30 tonight for me, Eastern Time. I think I liked 7:00 better, but either one’s much nicer than 5:30.
Funny you should say that, but Viacom, which owns MTV, now has managed to take complete control of CC, thanks to Time Warner AOL** T**urner being desperate for cash, and deciding to sell their half of the network to Viacom.

I like Conan (which now apparently runs at the awkward time of 6:30-&:30). And watch TDS at 11, when it’s nice and fresh. Sucks to be on the other side.
My Mom’s TV Guide and my NYT TV page still says Conan’s on at 7:00 and The Daily Show’s on at 5:30, but my Mom told me last night that she got SNL at 5:30, and neither of us bothered checking at 7:30 . . . Odd, and annoying. I’ll check both 5:30 and 7:30 tonight and see what’s up. I will be very happy (well, as happy as I ever get) if it returns to 7:30.

Possibly CC and MTV seem similar because the same company (Viacom) owns both of them. Then again, I can’t name 5 channels I watch with out Viacom owning at least one of them.
Nick (and its spin offs), Noggin, Tvland, Vh1(and its spin offs), CC, MTV(and its spin offs), Spike, CBS, and those I dont watch… BET, CMT, oh, Im sure I missed some, but you get the point.
