Here’s an example of Trump being deposed:
Uh-Oh: Does Donald Trump Know How to Read?
I like how he claims he doesn’t have his reading glasses. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Trump with glasses.

I would hope that if Trump is ever placed under oath, whoever is asking questions will ask him to read a passage out loud. And that they have a variety of different strength reading glasses on hand. Expose him.
I’ve seen this video before and I’m not sure what to make of it. To be fair, it could be a case of selective editing, etc., but honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if it were true that he has difficulty reading. It certainly would explain a lot.
I’ve heard of football players getting through college (of the football factory variety) despite being functionally illiterate; but one would think Wharton School of Business had higher standards. Tsk, tsk.
Who would be shocked if it were to be revealed that Trump hired someone to write his term papers for him–and even, possibly, to take tests for him?
Why go through all that when Dad can just donate a building?
Sure, but if Trump genuinely can’t read he’d at least have had to hire someone to fill out the admission forms, even if the building donation freed him from having to turn in papers and take tests. It would be interesting to hear from that person. (Unless that person became part of the foundation of a donated building, of course…)
I suspect that he’s not completely illiterate, and that he may just have a learning disability, which couldn’t have been easy considering Grandpa Trump’s ideas his genetic superiority. Why get help, if you have the greatest genes?
Looks like Trump will fire Mueller.
Looking forward to those forthcoming arguments about how it is all OK and stuff because the law allows it.
I think he’s nuts if he does it, and he’d be sliding further down the path to impeachment.
That said, he does have some leg to stand on. Because apparently Mueller has a very close and long-standing relationship with Comey. So to the extent that the issue becomes Comey vs. Trump, then Mueller is probably biased in favor of Comey.
At the time Mueller was first appointed, the Trump vs Comey aspect didn’t look particularly significant in the overall scheme of things. But at this point the Comey aspect seems to have risen a lot in terms of significance, particularly the Flynn part. So I think that changes things.
All that said, Trump is on such thin ice these days that he’d be best advised to just suck it up and live with it, especially as Mueller is said to be a guy of very high integrity. But you can see where someone might think otherwise.

Suppose he does and Congress won’t do anything against him. Then what?
“Suppose”? Trump trumpets about how he was vindicated and the Republican party continues pillaging your country unimpeded while he golfs on your dime.
According to Schiff, it wouldn’t change anything:
“If President fired Bob Mueller, Congress would immediately re-establish independent counsel and appoint Bob Mueller. Don’t waste our time.”
will this not just set off a firestorm of bad press and the horrible image?
but he is the person that thought the firing of the FBI director would be a popular move…
Trump doesn’t understand politics all that well, and he naively assumed that since the Democrats had been fiercely criticizing Comey since the election, that they would welcome his dismissal (especially if he pretended that it was related to mistreatment of HRC). But there’s not been any significant opposition to Mueller (a bit of murmuring about his law practice connection, but not much to speak of).
I love the first response to that tweet.
so pouring petrol on the burning fire thinking to drown it…
Then comes Wednesday.
Well, Schiff is a member of the minority party in both houses. I appreciate why he feels that way but I’ve yet to see anything that makes me think the GOP leadership would allow any such thing to happen.
Nunes is already owned by Trump. Burr would probably make a lot of harrumphing sounds but no way McConnell or Ryan would do anything as extreme as allow the appointment of an independent counsel.
Trump ain’t gonna get impeached before 2018 and I seriously doubt it will happen after that.
