I’ve posted a treatment of a character named “Foresight”, who was lying about his powers, that would be fun to develop. However, my utter ineptitude at drawing means I’d need an artist to pursue it.
Have you read any of Grrl Power? Sydney’s “power” isn’t weak-sauce, but she’s a comic-book nerd (and comic shop owner, if fact) and zanily thrilled about being a superhero. She’s also been commended for using her comic-book savvy in a fight.
I’ve been writing a nearly wordless Batman story in my head-
It starts in an alley, where a group of young street toughs are mugging a woman. Batman appears, and dispatches the group effortlessly. Cut to one of the punks, now in juvenile hall, working out. Cut to him being released, now large and muscular. Now we see him robbing a convenience store- Batman appears and when the punk tries to attack him, catches his punch and breaks his arm. He flees; Cut to him in a dirty and disreputable looking gym doing martial arts training, arm in cast.
The pattern continues- he gets knocked out by a batarang and trains with a pistol, builds himself a protective suit, gets a gasmask and goggles after being teargassed, until the street punk has transformed himself into a full fledged villain, complete with gang. Again he faces Batman, but this time he manages to hold his own. Batman defeats him, rips off his opponent’s mask, and says something like “You’re new. I’m going to remember you” Batman means it as a threat, but we cut to the villain’s battered and bloody face- smiling. He’s finally gotten what he wanted.
