Coming to Disney Plus in April are the two live-action Star Wars Ewoks movies, Caravan of Courage and Ewoks: Battle for Endor, both of which have been long-sought-after for Star Wars completionists on the Facebook groups I frequent.
Also coming are volumes one and two of the original short-form “Star Wars: Clone Wars” series, which consisted of two- to three-minute episodes, produced in 2003 before the creation of Ahsoka Tano for the more well-known “The Clone Wars” series. “Star Wars: Ewoks”, seasons one and two, and “The Story of the Faithful Wookiee”, from none other than the infamous Star Wars Holiday Special, will all be coming out April 2.
Non-Star Wars content being released in April includes Blue Sky’s Rio, my personal favorite movie from the studio, one that I liked so much that I bought the soundtrack for it. That movie got me through some dark times in my life when I was living week-to-week in a hotel at the church’s expense.
“Big Shot”, an original Disney+ TV series about a disgraced college basketball coach given one last shot at coaching by leading a high-school girl’s team, is coming out April 16. And throughout the month, we have the continuing series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” from Marvel, and “The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers” from Disney, both of which are debuting in March.
It’s a good time to be a Disney+ subscriber; we’re finally getting some real depth in the lineup.
