Comments on Classmates.com?

Has anyone noticed any differences in classmates.com recently? A while back, they began offering the chance to sign up for other schools you went to, other than HS–elementary, middle/junior high, even college. My family moved around a bit, so I had a list of schools, some of which are no longer around or no longer serve the same function as when I went there (for instance, one junior high I attended is now an elementary school). Now, when I signed up for those schools, I listed them as the names when I attended. All was fine and well for a while, but at some point, classmates.com decided to make some changes. The school that I attended for 8th grade suddenly had turned into “blah blah elementary” (when it was a jr. high!); the other school that I attended for 7th grade had turned into “blah Academy” - wtf?! Has anyone else had this happen to them with classmates.com? Oh, and ftr, I’m not a subscribing member–maybe that has something to do with it?

Also very strange is that … well, there’s a person that I had found on classmates.com–someone who had stalked me for -years- and who I was, admittedly, more than a bit afraid of… I was happy to find the person on classmates.com because it gave me some sense of, if not relief, at least I knew where they were and that it was 3,000 miles away from me! LOL Now, all of a sudden, that person has vanished, and their HS with them! How odd is that?! Has anyone else experienced a school just completely seeming to disappear from classmates.com database?! And now my anxiety has increased again, since I no longer am certain this person is way far away from me… argh. :frowning:

Any comments/information are greatly appreciated!

Dunno. I entered all my highschool info and get e-mail from them regularly. I don’t go to the site much.

I’m waiting for some class mate to sign up, harvest the e-mail addys and send forwards to all of us.

I only using very lightly, mainly becuse I refuse to pay that much money for one or two email addresses.

I stopped using it - mainly because I’m too cheap to pay for getting a hold of people who I never really liked that much.

Try http://gradfinder.com instead - it is free.

I paid once, then let it lapse. I got in touch with a couple of people who didn’t bother to keep up corresponding. Several others never answered my e-mails. And the few I was most interested in are not listed anywhere.

This year would be my 30th reunion. There is none. That pretty much sums up the class of '72 from Parkville Senior High School.
