There’s one out for Home Depot right now that focuses on their paint department. We see a lady relaxing in a comfy chair in the living room, reading a book. Suddenly, her daughter calls “Mommy, come look at my picture!” The woman looks up and says, “Why don’t you bring it in here?” The camera then cuts to the little girl’s room, where we see her lovely work of art, drawn on the wall in crayon. “I caaaaaaaaaaaaan’t!” says the the little girl. The announcer then goes on to talk about how easy it is to clean up messes from walls painted with a certain brand of paint.
I don’t watch TV or listen to the radio much anymore, so I haven’t seen many commercials lately.
But there’s only one that sticks in my mind: it used to play at the local Regal cinemas before the movie every time I went. It was for Fandango, a service that allows you to pre-purchase movie tickets over the Internet.
It shows some poor guy who obviously hasn’t heard of Fandango, standing in line for a movie. The couple ahead of him go to buy a ticket, but the cashier tells them it’s all sold out. They assure her it’s ok, because they’ve got their tickets on Fandango. They get their tickets and go. Poor guy, obviously out of luck, and not understanding the whole concept of Fandango, futilely tries to convince the cashier he needs one of those “fandango tickets” as well.
Love the Advil chewable comercial where the mom is chacing Kid around the house. She stops, fills a glass of water and catches the kid in midstride.
Kid spits out goldfish. Mom says"You gotta stop doing this"
Another is a Tocoma comercial I believe.
Truck is driving the frozen tundra and chance upon a baby seal. Dude gets out of truck with icebreaker. Dude raises icebreaker and camera makes it look like he is going to slam the baby seal, instead he slams the ice and busts a hole in the frozen water. Out pops Momma seal. Just made me water up the first time i saw it.

I love the recent Heinz Ketchup commercial.
There’s a guy sitting on the couch holding a glass bottle of Heinz ketchup upside down over his burger. They’re playing the “Anticipation” song they used to use for their commercials back in the 70s(80s?).
A woman comes into the room and hands him a squeeze bottle of Heinz. The guy takes it from her and uses it to bang on the glass bottle of ketchup. She takes the squeeze bottle back, squirts some ketchup on his fries and leaves, eating a fry and leaving the bottle on the coffee table. So the guy starts eating his fries, still holding the other bottleof ketchup over his burger.
I don’t know why, but it makes me smile.
