Commercials you (inexplicably) don't hate.

All sailors need a stiff breeze.

I kind of like the Travelers Insurance dog.

And what TV show recently had a scene where a character was watching the ad over and over and crying about it? ::sob:: He just wants to save his bone! ::sob::

I like the Nationwide Insurance guy. He’s so sincere.

I have always loved the etrade baby. Those ads crack me up every time!

Nokia Bruce Lee advert

I don’t think it’s inexplicable, but I’ve always liked this commercial for the twist at the end:

Gilbert’s the man.

That commercial gets me too, but in a good way, and I’m not bothered by the different outfits. The dad is not deliberately visualizing his daughter as being younger; he’s remembering her when she was younger, against his will. That both the “real” and remembered versions of his daughter were wearing stripped tops is just a coincidence.

Awww I’ve never seen that.

That’s sweet.

OMG.

::runs sobbing from the room::

I don’t know if you’d consider this a commercial per se but the current “please turn off your cellphones” flick that Century/Cinemark theaters is running really makes me clap my hands with glee.

I tried searching for it on YouTube/Google but I ended up with a bunch of gibberish. Essentially there’s this guy about to head into the theatre while talking to someone and texting to another and all these internet memes are swirling around him, like: Annoying Orange and the cat riding the Roomba. It ends with The Flea Market Montgomery guy and the Double Dream Hands guy on the Dance, Dance Revolution machine.

SO MUCH WIN!

Heiniken, with that catchy song.

He’s gotta burn off that 3 hours and 55 minutes of surplus boner time (band name!) first before he gets home. Otherwise he won’t be able to roll over and get some sleep. Sleep is very important to older guys.

Oh I really like the Mayhem insurance guy ones too. Particularly the one where is the car’s GPS system. Turn left! turn right! CRASH…updating. I guess I find it funny because I know a few folks who use their GPS a bit too much and one or two that would follow one’s directions right off a cliff.

I’m weirdly fond of Peggy. And Yella Fellow.

I liked the Honda “Mr. Opportunity” ads because I thought he was good-lookin’, which is pretty strange.

(I also have a crush on the Jack in the Box guy for some reason.)

I like the Dairy Queen commercial with the kittens inside the bubbles. I don’t know if it shows all over the country.

I love the little kid in the Darth Vader helmet. Hardly inexplicable, but I’ll stop and watch it grinning every time.

They’re both Passat commercials, but I prefer Life in the Express Lane. Damn, that kid is cute!

I like the kid’s dad. ::Paris Hilton voice:: He’s hot.

I second the Peggy commercials!!
