We’ve had numerous “annoying commercial threads”. How about one about commercials we find amusing?
-Call me a sap: I like the one (can’t remember what it was for) where the guy says first, “I’m never getting married.” Then after he gets married, it’s “we’re never having kids”. Then, “never moving to the suburbs/having another kid/buying a mini-van, etc.” At the end of the commercial, he’s all cuddle on the sofa with his wife and two kids sleeping and he’s like, “I’m never letting you go.” I can’t help it, I always go “aw”.
-Any of Geico’s “hockey rivalry” spots.
-The classic “Mean Joe Greene” Coke ad.
And my fellow Yinzers will of course recognize the Eat’N Park Christmas Tree ad. (It’s not Christmas in Pittsburgh until you’ve seen this ad)
The new Subaru commercial where the guy is fulfilling a bucket list for his dog’s 14th birthday, with Willie Nelson singing Make A Dog’s Day instead of dialogue. The first time I saw it I was lucky to see the long version, but I enjoy the shorter ones as well.
And the Android commercial Friends Fureverwith Roger Miller - love it! It puts a big smile on my face every time I see it.
I was amused by some of the GEICO ads with Mike McGlone (i.e. “can switching to GEICO really save you on car insurance…” insert rhetorical question punchline). The Abe Lincoln and Mary Todd one still cracks me up (if you know a little about accounts of their marriage) - then again I like any history reference in pop culture.

The premise eventually wore thin, but for a while, they were pretty funny.
The Pepto-Bismol commercials with the talking squirrel. They’re only mildly funny at best, but the squirrel is played by legendary voiceover artist Peter Thomas (narrator of Forensic Files). If I had his voice, I’d rule the world.
The GoDaddy “Stick it!” commercial. Who hasn’t fantasized about telling off all the people who doubted us? This ad shows how it would probably play out in reality.
I like the Honda commercial with the family singing the Weezer song. It reminds me of when my kids were younger and would sing in the car with me. :):(
I always got a laugh out of the Kia commercials where the kids’ toys in the backseat take the car for a Vegas joyride. It’s even funnier now that I have kids, and have actually seen Yo Gabba Gabba! and get to see Muno cutting loose.
