Commercials you actually LIKE

I liked the Quizno’s somgmonkey commercial. Apparently it creeped people out.

I absolutely love the Trunk Monkey commercials.

Snickers voting booth, 2000:

I love the Dorito’s “Need a Hero” commerical

I like this Coke commercial. Something about an act of kindness that makes me smile.
But I think one of my favorite commericals of all time is this one from Telus
I literally laugh out loud, often for a couple of minute or so when I watch that one.

Out of detergent… LOL

Any commercial from Jack In the Box.

‘Call the doctor. It’s been more than four hours!’

My favorite from the past couple years is the Extra Gum commercial with the dad and daughter, where he makes her the paper cranes out of the wrappers. The short version is sweet, but if you see the long version like they showed in the super bowl a couple years back - OH MY GOSH. It’s just so sweet. It gets me misty eyed and being a guy, I’m not afraid to say that.

Glenn! Glenn Glenn Glenn! (Starbucks featuring the band Survivor)

Geico, Ickey Shuffle

Old Spice, Smell like a man

I like the prescription lenses commercial where the woman mistakes a raccoon for her cat. ‘Let’s come snuggle with momma!’ (I like raccoons.)
ETA: Which reminds me that I liked the Lay-Z-Boy commercial with the raccoons and the My Fair Lady song.

.

Sounds like the series they run here for Specsavers, some of which still haven’t outstayed their welcome, as most ads do:

I usually try not to watch commercials but I like the one for some insurance company where the guy’s car is a giant baby. I’m not usually into babies but this one’s expressions are just so happy and cute, it makes me smile every time.

I think it was a Heineken commercial, extolling the virtues of sharing a beer with friends.

Close shot on a beer bottle… it’s moving slowly, left to right. A hand reaches in from the right, picks it up… a moment later, puts it back down again.

A hand reaches in from the left, picks it up, puts it back down again.

A hand reaches up from below…

Turns out the bottle is sitting on the back of a woman who’s having a 4-way.

And, no, I’m not going to find you a link from work.

State Farm’s Coneheads are highly amusing.

The commercial is okay, I guess, but is so damned overplayed that I have the urge to reach for a mute button whenever “Love is Strange” starts up.

For me the State Farm Jake commercial. It is a minute long tragedy with the shrewish wife and husband desperately looking for some dignity in his marriage. You see his little smile at the end? What you don’t see is about 5 seconds later her punching his testicles through the wall behind him for his “he’s a guy” crack.

For Mrs. Cad, the famous Cartier Super Bowl epic.

I like that one too. They’ve run the shit out of it and I still watch it when it comes on…just really well done.

Darrell Hammond as Colonel Sanders cracks me up every time.

  • I * fondly recall the Woolite commercial–albeit in black and white–beginning with the two lovely young women walking, wearing classy sweaters, admired by appreciative men. The girls walk in a fetching manner, too. I just stop short when I see something like that; the better she looks, the more my self-assurance seems to evaporate. Especially if I have her undivided attention!

They’re 24 years old, but the Nynex Yellow Pages “Human Cartoon” series of commercials were the best ever.

HP Sauce makes beef sing. Probably one of my favorite commercials of all time along with this one about beer.

I could name MANY commercials I’ve liked- but interestingly, none of them ever inspired me to buy the product being advertised.
