I think they were definitely just responding to the fact that Annie’s play was tedious and boring, sexy cats and bizarre crayon notwithstanding.
The play also seemed more geared towards elementary schools kids than middle schoolers.
Since these were adolescents, I think it’s plausible that they would have started cheering for drugs even if Pierce had stuck to the script.
I had to rewind and turn on close captioning to catch it, but did anyone else catch Chang admit to Shirley his Golum complex?
I was already familiar with that emoticon, though I was expecting a D instead of a >
Yeah, I caught that. “I’ll tell Chang when he gets here.” Good to know that whole Gollum scene wasn’t just a one-off joke.
Well he’s only 13, give him a couple of years for the D
Yeah, the D stands for Descend.
Wait, maybe I have the wrong end. It’s happened before.
Huh. I thought the idea was that he had a little amnesia after the attack.
In which episode was the Gollum joke? Did he specifically give himself two different names?
The Gollum joke was at the end of the first episode this season. Chang wanted to join the group and Jeff said they would think about it. Then it cut to Chang in the library doing the whole “Gollum having a conversation with himself.”
“Awww… That’s sweet. I’ll go get Chang, and you can tell him that yourself.”
[creepy smile]
God, that rictus grin was awesome. I loved how he held it just a couple of beats too long. Ken Jeong is great.
The deleted scenes of Hangover include some of his ad libs as “Crazy Naked Asian Mobster Guy” that are the funniest part of the movie, but I think were probably left out because they were too over-the-top and p.i. in an already out there movie.
