During the Baby Boomer Santa number, there is a quick reaction shot of Annie, Britta, and Shirley doing the “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” monkey gestures. I especially loved Disco Abed in that scene.
The scene with the little kids singing and Shirley getting more and more agitated gets funnier every time I watch it.
BTW, Danny Pudi and Yvette Nicole Brown both had brief cameos on Chuck this week!
I like that Baby Boomer Santa fought at Woodstock and Vietnam. Dovetails nicely with last week’s episode, where Abed broke into his landlord’s apartment while he was watching Woodstock fetish porn.
I loved Troy’s comment (in the Baby Boomer song) about their “smoking acid”.
Whatever happens with Community, I hope that Danny Pudi and Donald Glover team up again. They’re on par with Cheech and Chong, Laurel and Hardy, and pretty much every other super famous comedy duo, and worlds funnier than Martin & Lewis or McCain & Palin.
It actually took a second viewing for me to see the “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” theme. It was seeing Jeff’s Donald Sutherland scream impression that it finally hit me.
Yes, there were many laugh-out-loud moments in this episode. But the part where Britta approaches Jeff and he turns around with that Glee-ful face immediately reminded me of Body Snatchers. Jeff was possessed! Britta’s reaction was priceless. To me, this was the funniest episode since Remedial Chaos Theory.
Wow, between Anne’s scene in this and the naked Sarah scene on Chuck, looks like I chose the right week to pick up an HDTV.
Really hilarious, I was laughing so hard at boopityboopity sex whats a dimblahbabab that I had to stop and rewind the OnDemand, and that’s not something I do lightly because that thing’s as responsive as a slug in molasses.
Whole episode was great, most of the best parts have already been mentioned, but I also liked some of the Glee jabs, like “why is your piano still playing” and “where’d this guy come from”.
