So, what what Britta doing to Subway?
Back in top form this week.
“I was just Googling record lengths of things…”
I think maybe the episode title is a clue…
I didn’t think this episode was that great. Pierce was great. Other than that…
The Jeff and Annie plot. We’ve seen Jeff learning a lesson about selflessness aided by Annie or Britta before.
Britta and Subway.
Troy and Abed. Their friendship continues to decline. I wonder if the evil Abed and Vice Dean Robert Laybourne (John Goodman) storylines will intersect.
The Subway stuff kind of annoyed me, as even though they made it funny it really didn’t seem like something they would have put in the episode on their own. Just a little off.
Is it better not to have the show at all than to compromise even a little bit? Would you destroy the pillow fort before letting it hook up to the blanket fort?
On a serious note, I wonder if the Subway plot was planned all along, or if there was a deal struck to have an episode long Subway ad to help a show with low ratings make enough money to keep the studio execs happy.
I think a combo pillow/blanket fort would be kind of cool. You get a little variety.
Feh. Abed has gone from “endearingly wacky” to “seriously unpleasant.”
Best line of the night. “Britta, unfiltered.”
I’d really like to know how they got Subway on board with this. Few companies will go for being made the Bad Guys, no matter how much product placement there is.
And I agree with Eve - Abed is seriously unlikeable.
pop … pop …
I love that guy.
I knew that man was Kim right away. And I do not ever need to see Leonard in his pajamas.
I do like seeing Pierce and Shirley together. Vice Dean Laybourne is going through some changes right now? Besides the facial hair and the braid? Hmmm.
What’s the problem with pajamas? They cover everything.
Not his face.
“There’s a situation developing in the study room! I would elaborate but I am out of breath because I walked very briskly!”
Well, then, what do pajamas have to do with it? I’ve never seen him wearing a mask.
The actor that played the Subway executive that listened to Britta’s sex tape crushed that delivery better than anyone delivering any other lines. Utterly hilarious. “I was raised in the Bay Area, but I’m a father now…”
Dean: “I’m confused. Why can’t you just get your jacket on the way out?”
Yes! Who was he? They really brought in a ringer.
I’m guessing they didn’t (and didn’t have to) get Subway on board for this – especially the implied digital exploration.
That’s the guy from the current run of Snapple commercials, and I’ve seen him in a lot of other ad spots as well. Don’t know his name, but the guy’s booking a ton of work the last few years.
“Subway” was the guy that played Keith Dudemeister on Scrubs.
Yeah, I think this is just another example of Community poking fun at modern trends in television. Subway product-placement has been getting pretty overt lately. (I’ve posted that before, but it still amazes me how blatant it is.)
Hey! He’s in a band! Didn’t it say “Kelvin and the Zeroes” on his cap there at the end, when he was on the way to band practice? That is an awesome band name … if you’re the Vice Dean of an air-conditioning school, that is.
