Community Ep 311 3/15/2012 - Urban Matrimony and the Sandwich Arts

That’s because BBT wasn’t on due to basketball.

A good episode, but not a great one. Needed more Dean.

Of course, this episode was written and filmed before the Oscar nominations were even announced.

It wasn’t the funniest episode of the season, but I’m glad Shirley got something to do. It seemed to be a good character development episode. Between Shirley realizing that she’s good at business and Britta realizing (to her horror) that she’s good at some traditionally feminine pursuits, there seemed to be some forward momentum in character progression.

Britta had the best lines this episode. “It’s a thought with another thought’s hat on.”

Wasn’t someone supposed to die? I didn’t see Chang, so I hope it’s him.

I liked the bit with Pierce’s security camera, or as Jeff put it: wireless racism.

And in the study room:
Annie: “You’re anti-wedding now?”
Jeff: “No, she’s just pro-anti.”
Britta: “No to everything you both said!”
And now we know that the weird voice Shirley uses is her “sexy voice.”

This season, not necessarily this episode.

I liked the little sequence of pictures in Jeff’s heart.

Yes, one of the slot machine pictures was Annie’s Boobs.

Somewhere on the NBC site there’s a promo webisode for 30Rock where Donald Glover made an appearance and Jack Donaghee call him by his former twitter handle, “dong lover”.

Another part I found really funny was when the Dean was surprised that Shirley and Pierce had learned so much from their Greendale classes.

Don’t you remember from the first season? He is Señor Chang, and he’s so ill; this is a warning, he can’t be killed.

He’s Chang! And he cannot die!

(That tune is my ringtone.)

The pictures were:
4x woman I don’t know
4x car
6x Annie
3x Annie’s Boobs (the fun ones)
3x dog
2x cards
3x house
3x BlackBerry
3x booze

A lot of Annie in there.

Was the woman the professor that Jeff dated for a while?

I don’t think so.

With *Chuck *off the air now, did Subway decide *Community *was the next show with a cult following to sponsor and place in show ads into?

YES! God, yes.

Let’s hope so, it kept Chuck on the air a lot longer than it would’ve been otherwise. Lame Subway related skits were a small price to pay for that.

These Subway product placements are getting more and more blatant. :smack:

Oh my god, that was painful. I thought sponsors were trying to find smarter ways to place products? That was nothing but a full-blown commercial worked right into the dialogue.
