Troy’s description of Garrett: “That guy’s just a mess. It’s like God spilled a person.”
I also loved when the Dean was first on stage accepting candidates and doing the applause-o-meter with his forearms. Britta rushes past one of the hopefuls standing in line (“Sorry, I got the heat–I gotta go!”) and shouts into the microphone, “I believe humankind need not be governed!” and raises a fist into the air. She is greeted with absolute silence. The dean, referring to his applause-o-meter registering zero, replies “Well, it’s good to know there’s a floor on this thing.”
My favorite quick scene: When Abed is watching Kickpuncher, you hear a Wilhelm Scream.
Magnitude is only 16? POP POP
What’s with the two-week break for all the Thursday-night comedies?
The same break that happens every single year since at least the early 80s: shows go into break or reruns after the February sweeps. Part is avoiding running against the NCAA tournament, but you generally don’t get new episodes until mid-April.
I’ve seen that guy out in the world. He does indeed dress like that and acts a little like that. He’s a comedy performer (I’ve seen him in an improv show) so it’s at least somewhat cultivated gimmick… bu I’m unsure how much is real.
