Computer Application Error

The following window keeps popping up:

<(Title) LUCOMS-.EXE - Application Error

The instruction at “Ox7c918fea” referenced memory at “Ox01c77eae”. The memory could not be “written”.

Click on OK to terminate the program.

Click on CANCEL to debug the program.>

Clicking on either doesn’t stop the error message from popping up again.

Is this a virus? I have Norton.

Anyone have any idea how to get rid of this problem? Thanks!

Ironically, according to here:

that is actually liveupdate for symantec products.

Funny, Norton is your problem. LUCOMS.exe is part of the Norton LiveUpdate system, and it’s apparently crashing.

You might try rebooting in safe mode and uninstalling Norton. I’ve always considered it to be a piece of crap, and there are plenty of alternatives available.
