I saw that in Weird Earls a while back, sent it to Bill, since as a geeky enginerd I though he’d enjoy it. One of the most ingenious things I’ve seen in a long time.
Though your title is a bit deceptive…it’s a computer controlled cat DOOR. A computer controlled cat would be a very cool thing too, perhaps even cooler than the cat door; it would make a lot of cat owners’ lives a lot easier, that’s for sure.
Oh yeah, like that would make life easier…

That’s so cool! I totally am going to get one of these when I own my first house… and my first cat.
Ah well, at least it would give us the illusion of control. We don’t even have that now.
Yep, I’d like a computer-controlled cat too. It might still byte , but at least she couldn’t scratch.
