Congratulations to our Max Torque, who passed the bar! You da man!!!
Zette
One good thing about a friend passing the bar is they’re usually good for free legal advice.
::MsRobyn opens the envelope and reveals a bill for $50 because Max said hi to her in chat::

Aww, sweet Zetter, you shouldn’a.
The results are here, and lemme tell ya, when I loaded that page this morning and saw that results were up at last, I was ill. And I will never forget the godawful nervousness I felt while I scrolled down to my name. Terrifying.
But now it’s done, and I have consumed the celebratory pizza. Woohoo!
Congratulations. Wishing you joy and happiness in your new position.
Yay Max! I’m very proud of you!
Did they spell “Torque” right? That would cheese me off, lemme tell ya…
Congrats!
I can’t do a scrolling marquee here, but I’ll add my congratulations again. I’m thrilled for you. You kicked major patootie.
Woot Max! We knew you could do it… great job and congrats!
Woot Max! We knew you could do it… great job and congrats!
Congrats, Max!
Congrats, Max! Like Rasa said, we all knew you could do it!
Yay Max! Congrats.
ahem
Hey Max, what’s the difference between you and a rooster?
A rooster clucks defiant.
Congrats again from your co-examinee, Max. We da SDMB’s babiest lawyers!
Well, that was speedy: today’s mail included my letter from the Texas Board of Law Examiners, saying that I passed and give us some money dammit. So, once I send my checks in, they’ll mail out my license, and then I take the oath.
Here’s the thing: there’s a big, formal swearing-in ceremony in Austin on the 18th. Should I go? I mean, it’s an excuse for a trip to Austin, which is about a 6 hour drive from where I am. Still, it’d be neat to attend the big ceremony, and there are lotsa Dopers in Austin I can hang with (Sapphire Bullet? Nudge, nudge?).
Well, I reckon I have a few days to think it over. pravnik, are you going to the big ceremony? It’s even farther from you, is it not?
Congratulations, Max.
Congratulations to the both of ya. If I ever need an attorney in Texas . . . I’ll call *minty green. Heh.
I’m only 2 1/2 hours away, but I don’t think I’ll be able to make the big ceremony, Max. I’m taking off a half-day tommorrow and I don’t think the Judge will want to let me off again so soon (the other law clerk has been out sick for 3 days, too). You never know, though, I might. If I were able to I’d definitely go. Sounds like fun.
If you do decide to go let me know, if I’m there we can give each other the secret lawyer handshake.
Congrats Max, I’ll call next time things go awry in south Padre.
Cpngrats, Max!

Congrats Max!!! You go to that ceremony. You enjoy every single minute of celebration you can. You worked hard for it and deserve it!
