Congressman Steve King is even stupider than we thought

Well, do you want to live in a country where a Labrador can take a Pekingese out of a dog park and across state lines for immoral purposes?

Right on, Stevie!

I do hope he’s putting on an act for the sake of appearing to be a colorful character. I mean, no entire district in the country could have so retarded a population as to actually vote for him if he’s serious, could it?

Did you make that up, or steal it? Because that’s the funniest thing I’ve read in a while. :stuck_out_tongue:

Planet of the Apes?

“No, it’s Iowa.”

(Okay, I hate to besmirch a great line from one of my favorite movies, but there you go.)

You better have a seat. I’ve got some bad news for ya’.

Wait, so abortion is a quick clean cover-up to rape?

Well, yeah. Also if you lure a 13-year-old into your car and rape her and transport her across state lines and force her into some sort of back-alley abortion you haven’t violated a single law.

Because we live in Whatthefucksville, apparently.

Only when applied to thirteen year old girls, as I understand it. Crossing state lines may be optional. We’re still waiting to hear back from the judges.

We definitely care more about animals than the Penn State rape victims, for instance. That’s why it’s legal to make girls cross sedate Lions for immortal porpoises.

Did his constituents elect him knowingly, or did they think they were supporting Derry, Maine?

You have to remember that these are People of the Land. The Common Clay of the New West.

You know, Morons.

No, it’s just ice cream

Not to defend Steve, but I assume his “law to repeal all Obama laws” law would be presented to presumptive President Romney to sign.

I was quoting one of the commenters on the story, so yes, I stole it. With impunity!

OK, so we’ve got Steve King in Iowa and Michele Bachmann in Minnesota, I just hope the stupid doesn’t migrate west.

I’d worry about it migrating south to Missouri, but too late - Amendment 2.

I am an Iowan. But I live in the eastern part of the state - the “reasonably sane” part.

Those King voters out in western Iowa? I have no idea what the heck they’re thinking. I mean, other than “Government is bad! Here, let us prove it for you by sending a complete moron to Washington!”

My son is working hard in central Iowa to try and get King voted out this time. I can only hope - but the oblivious stubbornness is strong out there near the Missourah River …

If this passes wouldn’t it mean that the extension of the Bush tax cuts in 2010 never took place? Would that only take effect going forward, or would we owe extra taxes on the past two years?

Ahem. It’s also where Obama came in first in the Democrat caucuses in 2008.

I’ve been ashamed that King is from Iowa but glad that he didn’t represent my district. I could sorta disavow him. Then the districts were, um, redistricted after the 2010 census. Now he’s in my district, which means I can vote for the other candidate. (Christie Vilsack, wife of former governor/current agriculture secretary Tom Vilsack)

But Iowans seem to have problems sending women to Congress. If she wins, she’ll be the first. WTF is up with that?
