Don’t need any alternatives. The federal government has no constitutional authority to provide or mandate health insurance. SCOTUS dropped the ball on that one by declaring it to be a tax.

Yep. Hopefully, his directions in office will be to preside over the closing of the doors of the EPA, which is just one of many, many government offices that need to be shut down.

My 2 cents:

Liberals do have a lot to fear in the upcoming 4 years, especially with the potential for one or more right-wing SCOTUS justices.

But 2020 will likely be a landslide win for the Blues, and a redistricting election too. So it’s short-term loss for the Democrats but very longterm gain. Trump may well be the last GOP president for a very, very, long time to come.

So Democrats only need to batten down the hatches and emerge victorious after four years.

Right. Which is why the right wing have to do everything they can to make this victory permanent. With a system designed to quietly steal elections, they don’t even need blatant mass disenfranchisement.

See, the GOP are at war with us, and they never stop working to win. Democrats act like conservatism is static and the left can just ride a demographic tide to victory. Movement conservatives, contrariwise, believe that progressives are working overtime to steal America, and they have to work just as hard to stop it. And that’s why they almost always win.
