considering editing my board screen name

I have not made a final decision yet, but I am seriously considering editing my screen name here. The length of my current screen name has grown rather cumbersome. (16 characters long)

Here are a few of my proposed name changes:
(shown case and space sensitive)

The Silver Key
Silver Key
Mr. Silver Key
M.S.K.
The Key Master
Key Master
The Key Keeper

So far, I am favoring plain “M.S.K.” which is the simplest and leaves room for a bit of personal mystery. It also retains reference to it’s original form.

“M.S.K.” sounds like something every Tom, Dick and Harry would name themselves.

I still like MagicalSilverKey (just my preference).

See, you need to earn the nickname “T3” by demonstrating great speed. Then you can abbreviate your name to MST3K and you will be the [comic book shop guy]coolest poster ever[/comic book shop guy].

If you do change to key master, you need to convince someone else to change their name to gate keeper.

LOL ultrafilter! I get the MST3K references a lot. Unfortunately, I don’t have, nor can afford, a T3 connection. :frowning: But it’s a novel idea!

If you really feel you must change it, my vote is for Key Master.

Now you just need to find the Gate Keeper…

Okay, okay. Only joking:) MSK is what a lot of dopers call you. Why not go with that?

I like “The Key Master” far better than “MSK”. For some reason, when I see MSK, I get the Lucky Charms tune in my head and start singing “MSK…it’s magically delicious”. shrug Just one of those things, I suppose.

I don’t think you should change at all. I like your handle the way it is.

I can’t remember 10,000 user names here let alone those who have changed them. Matter of fact, whenever someone changes their handle, I don’t remember them anymore. Might just be me but there are too many to keep track of let alone changes.

I don’t think it’s too long since I use cut & paste.

I like MagicalSilverKey too… Some of the other ones are more “standard”, and probably would make you seem less unique in some eyes, as opposed to this one that I think is completely yours. Keep it, Keymaster!
