Continually Losing Internet Access

I’ve got Juno and WinXp.

Updated Antivirus, Spybot, AdAware, Zone Alarm and Windows Firewall, also Microsoft anti-spyware. All are run frequently and updated frequently. I haven’t seen anything lately, so I think I’m clean.

Sometimes I can stay on for an hour or so, other times I get booted after about 20 minutes. There doesn’t seem to be any pattern in how long I can stay on. I lose the connection and the Juno message pops up saying:

“Your connection has been lost for unknown reasons
Error Code 20”

I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

dial up, lan, or wireless?

PatriotX Since he said Juno it would be a safe to assume he/she is using dialup

RancidYakButterTeaParty do you have call waiting?

I recently had the same problem.
My ISP notified me that there were 2 computers trying to use my isp account. Therefore both were being cut off.
I contacted them and changed my password.
Well it turns out that my son was trying to get our old computer to operate and was trying to gain access to my isp.
Now I have to try to remember a new password

I should mention that we were trying to access at the same

Oh.
I’m unfamiliar w/ Juno.

Call waiting not disabled on the line?

I do have call waiting, but it normally rings through the connection. In other words, if I am online and someone calls, I lose connection and hear the phone ring. I never thought that this could be happening at times and I don’t hear the phone ring.

Thanks, I’ll let you know soon.
