Conversations with kids - a thoughtful, giggle-induced (and highly parenthetical) MMP

Congrats on TatersSon’s driving success!

Glad your son had such a good time at camp, Soapy!

rigs, you take that bike back right now, young lady!!! :p:D

I dutifully spent 4 hours at work. It got me pretty inspired to finish a good part of the rest tonight. I’ll still have some stuff to work on tomorrow, but it should be minimal.

Need to go out and water some more. We keep having rain in the forecast, but not in reality.

Also, I should eat something else, I suppose. Had some goldfish crackers at work, but that’s not quite enough to count as dinner.

Back later…

GT

I nuked some frozen eggrolls for dindin. I’s a gourmet all the way!

It’s drizzly and dreary out. We should get a bunch more rain tonight. I let water out of the pool in anticipation of the rain. Now, watch me have to add more tomorrow since I got all smart and prepared.

Who’s got tomorrow?

**swampy **- are you going to get hit with Claudette? Does that sound dirty??

Just finished making breakfast and lunch for tomorrow. That should make my morning less insane. After last week, I need a less insane start of the day.

I don’t think anyone volunteered for tomorrow, so we’ll just see what happens, won’t we? ooooo - how exciting.

Time for me to log off and think about sleepy-bye.

I slammed my right index finger in my desk drawer. I hurt…
I managed to whip it up enough to actually vacuum #2 son’s room, and the whole upstairs AND I made homemade biscuits with cold ham for dinner.

It poured rain like a mother for about 20 minutes and then God turned the faucet off. It wasn’t enough (1/4 of an inch), but it was something. The rain did nothing to break the heat or the humidity. Ugh.
I may wear a skirt to work tomorrow. I only own two skirts–that’s how often I wear them. I am finding I am getting sick of pants, though.

rigs I’m impressed! You turned cold ham into homemade biscuits! Though, to be honest, I like cold ham enough to eat it as is. :stuck_out_tongue:

MOOOOOOM the rain is from the outer bands of Claudette, so she’s not hitting us real hard. Hard enough though. Eight inches of rain in 24 hours is a bunch, with more on the way allegedly.

And that’s all the news from swampland.

I’m doing laundry! And cooking chili!

swampy, I saw a front license plate that made me think of you: “Ain’t Skeered”

LiLi, that sucks.

You are a silly man.

You know something I hate? I hate being told that X couldn’t be because some person has never experienced X, so I’m wrong. No, I’m not wrong (about X, anyway)–you just don’t get out enough.

 I pick my butt all night last night, and I took 2 of 7 total calls today when I’m supposed to be off-duty. They keep coming in pairs, except for the last one just paged.

No Broom Hilda, so far.

the hacking finally stopped - but now I sound like a Boca retiree
also I think my fever may have gotten as high as 102 today, but I hugged an ice pack for an hour or so - that & Tylenol seemed to have helped
Still going to the doc in the morning for a Z-pak

so - who is starting us off?

No one’s volunteered yet, rosie. But I’m sure someone will have something to start us off with.

Off to sleepy bye.

See everyone in the new MMP.

GT

Seeing as it is now Monday on the east coast of US (and across the sea where some mumpers are fast asleep or just starting their day)
I present the new MMP

Well, dang! BioRosie beat me to it! I did one Ovah Heah too!
