I hate to tell you this, Soapy, but your husband may be heading in to hot weather. We’re getting our first week of really hot summer weather after a very cool summer - highs may be in the 90s Wed-Fri this week. Not sure about Rochester, but that’s what the Twin Cities is expecting anyway. Which should help my grape tomatoes to ripen, but I’m with FCM on preferring fall weather. Hopefully a week or so of this and we’ll just head straight into fall. Although on the good side of the hot weather, I’m having a couple work friends over for a pool party on Friday so hot weather would be good for that.
We had grilled pork tenderloin last night. Yum!
My work laptop had a melt down on yesterday and wouldn’t let me log to the work network. The Help(Less) desk couldn’t figure it out and neither could the local support guy. It was however interesting to to listen to the Help(less) desk yelling at the local support guy while he quietly cursed at them in French because she had re-added me to the network couldn’t understand why I still could not log on. She was following a script and he was deviating from it. 
They finally gave up and re-imaged my laptop so I didn’t get it back til 10.30 today so I have been scrambling to try to get done what I needed to get done yesterday before I leave on vacation
This time tomorrow I will be at the airport drink in hand and in the interests of keeping you all informed

It’s nice and quiet right now. The kids are sleeping and hubby is off at work.
My mother is supposed to come over tonight. Frankly, I’m not looking forward to it. All she does is complain about her docs, her health and her job. I understand the need to vent, but I don’t find it necessary to spend the whole time you’re with someone bitching and moaning. Ugh…I love her, but I find it difficult to be around her.
It’s raining. It started raining yesterday and I’m glad. We really needed it.
Howdy all. Thanks for the burfday wishes. The day got briefly worse when hubby (who sat up late watching horror movies) grumped at me on his way out the door, without so much as a happy birthday kiss, then better when he redeemed himself by sending me a big bunch of roses at the office. It further improved when my best friend took me out to lunch, but the afternoon slowly declined when my sister-in-law called to ask me, on my way out to the hospital to visit my other SIL and the new baby, to take a 30km detour to collect the “baby party favours” from someone who was going to the hospital as well. Huh??? I acquiesced, then called back and told her (in very polite words) to FRO. Just got home, and am now waiting for hubby to come home and cook my birthday dinner (grilled spicy turkish sausage with mashed NOTs).
