You are offered a choice between corn- or potato-based snack foods. The other will cease to exist forever. Corn and potatoes will both continue to exist for the purposes of other foods, but salty dry junk foods based upon them will be no more. Combinations of the two will automatically cease to exist either way, so “Andy Capp’s Fries” are right out.
Looks like I’m going to have to commit chip-induced suicide.
Going a bit off-topic here, but I’d like to rant about the mega-sized bags of chips that have taken over the convenience stores around here. I want a snack, not a meal!
This - I rarely do chips as snacks any more unless it is a chips and salsa thing, or potato chips and dip thing at parties [which is maybe 2 to 3 times a year] as I am more a pretzel girl.
I’m drawing a blank on what exactly I’d lose. I’m not a fan of corn chips so those are out. French fries are meh, unless extra crispy. Corn Chex are the best of the 4 non-adorned flavors of Chex. And corn itself is great, and the OP seems to imply that the non-processed version of each (corn on the cob, baked potato maybe) are still existing. I’ll keep potatoes then, especially due to my corn chip ambivalence.
I’ll get rid of corn if I can also keep maize
