That is equal to about 500 truck loads. The pies are great and cheap and same price they were in 1990.
Dunno if the board software will show it but the Costco pumpkin pie time lapse video going around from one store is something else.
I know my mom bought one for today!
What I really like about their pies is I don’t taste the nutmeg. The only spice I like in pumpkin pie is cinnamon and maybe some ginger.
Here’s a link for those who like to get actual citations:
They’re good, but they’re way too big for us. Whenever we’ve gotten one, we’ve never finished it.
I am lucky if I can make it to the third day on one.
Cause this is a thread. Cause I just want to.
I want to say: I HATE pumpkin pie.
So there!
The music totally makes that video.
Six million people can’t be wrong so it must be you
(Happy Thanksgiving with whatever pie you choose!)
There was a viral video going around where someone was being shamed for taking like 30 pies for themself and was accused of being reseller of some kind. It turned out that they were a realtor who gives out pies to their clients every year. Nevertheless, some Costcos have limited customers to one or two pies each.
My son claims that when he’d get a craving for pumpkin pies he would buy one at Costco and it might make it home.
Yeah, it would have been weird with the South Park theme.
It is just me, around my house.
I make a good one, apparently. All gone.
Take that Costco!!
When do we see the “Bad Bad Pumpkin Pie” thread?
Do you make just the custard and leave out the pumpkin then?
Supposedly the price of the costco pie at $5.99 has not increased since 1990.
Using an inflation calculator, $5.99 in 1990 is approximately $14.11 today.
So I conclude that a $5.99 pie was horribly overpriced in 1990.
I don’t eat them. I make the pumpkin pie for the others.
I actually made 6. I think I’m ahead of Costco. In the balance of things.
I bought a Costco pumpkin pie a few years ago and thought it was awful. I threw it away. Hopefully they’ve gotten better, but I’ll probably not get a chance to find out.
The CostCo pumpkin is the only store-bought pie I will tolerate for holidays. They are just great. Simple, huge, and correct.
I made two pumpkin pies in the wee hours this morning. We only needed one, but I have no idea how to make just one pumpkin pie; I’ve been making them in pairs my entire life. (Beck, I also made apple, and blueberry, so don’t despair. LOL!)
But truthfully, when somebody comes home from CostCo without a pumpkin pie, I am always disappointed.
I never been in a Costco. We don’t have them.
I can’t imagine my bunch eating one and not asking why didn’t I make it instead.
I personally like a cream pie. Chocolate or coconut.
Not likely I’ll have either of those anytime soon. Next would be a fruit pie.
