On my iPhone, and maybe other times as well, when I’m on the main page, if a forum has 3 stickies, that’s all that I see. None of the top posts are previewed. Would combining the sticky threads into a single thread per forum be worth considering?
A work-around is to open the sticky and click the pushpin icon, which will flip upside down. Then that sticky will drift down like other threads.

You don’t even need to open the sticky. Just click the pin.
IME, not from the “all categories” home page, but if you open the category page, you definitely can manipulate the pin from the list of topics.
ETA: at least, when reading on my Android phone using mobile Firefox. As always, YMMV.
