Could we have some more "Spalding Gray is dead" threads?

Because really, three on the front page of Cafe Society, along with the “no news is good news” thread that’s been popping on and off the front page, really just isn’t enough for me.

Fer god’s sake people, I realize that you’re all overcome with grief at his passing, but is scanning down the entire front page before slapping up another new thread really asking that much?

I did scan the forum before I posted mine, and then when I found the other thread I e-mailed Uke and asked him to close/merge it. Sorry.

While we’re talking about massive overkill of thread topics, I think we could stand to do with a much smaller number of Gay Marriage and “Passion of the Christ” threads, since those get done to death as well.

And no more Gay Passion of the Christ threads either,

In other news, Spalding Gray is still dead.

What about Gray Passion of the Christ? "So they nailed me up on this cross and it hurt so much but I had a great view of my house and it reminded me of the time I was in that production of ‘Our Town’ … "

Well,. it looks like we can have at least one more Spalding Gray thread yeah?

who the fuck is spalding gray

Some dead guy.

Who apparently got crucified while being passionately gay.

The BDSM scene can be a little extreme at times.

It offends my sensibilities to think we still live in a society where strange disappearing coots who want to be crucified together can’t so do.

Not only did I not know that Spalding Gray was dead, I hadn’t known that he had been alive.

Considering some of the histrionics on both threads, I suggest we combine the two topics. “The Passion of Gay Marriage.” There are a lot of crosses being lugged around in both cases, why not let all the cross-luggers lug together. We could call it a “lug-in.”

Can I just take this opportunity to say that Spalding should never have tried swimming to Cambodia.

Who the fuck is Spalding Gray?

Never heard of him.

FYI: you can use alt-F in IE or Mozilla to do a very quick search of the page, to at last see if there’s anything on the first page. Of course, it won’t help simulposted duplicate threads, though.

Just to clarify: I posted the first thread that the remains found in the East River had been identified as Spalding Gray. I searched before posting.

Spalding Gray was a brillant, if troubled playwright and actor. He had been missing since January 11th, and his body was found yesterday in the East River. More infor at www.playbill.com

We go into Grief Mode every time a cast member dies from that X-Rated classic “Little Orphan Dusty”.

(And when Ginger Lynn kicks the bucket, you might want to take the week off.)

It’s not his fault; he fell down a slippery slope and landed in the waters while trying to escape a monster in a box. It can happen to anyone.
