Coulter Doesn't belive in Evolution

I’m starting to wonder if she isn’t pulling a ‘Stephen Colbert’.

I love mammals…

I haven’t seen that. Unless you mean a Doper ripping on another Doper’s looks, but that’s completely different.

Nope. It’s a mushroom cloud. I wouldn’t hit it if it were the last mushroom cloud on earth.

(Since, you know, I’d be dead or dying.)

Here’s the cached image. And no, I don’t find it appealing. She looks like a man.

If she stuck with a literal interpretation of the Bible, she would insist that a man make her contract and business decisions for her.

Baldwin, I, for one, am only criticizing her looks because the people who agree with her (and some who don’t) go on and on about how hot she is. It was brought up, so I responded.

BTW, what the hell is up with her neck?

If I had to imagine what it would be like to hook up with her I’d compare it to having sex with the cold dead corpse of Manute Bul wearing a wig.

She’s Ralph Dibny?
My immediate thought upon seeing that pic was of an alien face-hugger.
I see your point.

And I’m not sure which photo bespeaks more evil.

Maybe they’d be more believable as Christians if they chose to follow some other parts of the bible as well. How about Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness or Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God or If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother: But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.

Well I have, and I’m not talking about ripping other Dopers. I’ve seen cases where someones legit rant was attacked because terms like “ugly bitch” were included about the person they were ranting about..

I for one think anything is open game. Anything except redheaded retirees, of course! leave them alone!

I think the sun is setting on the appeal of right-wing hate filled vitriol. Rove can’t find a buyer for his book. Coulter’s most recent book is doing much, much worse than her previous opus.

I’d wager the farm that she’s about to get an Andrew Dice Clay moment and start trying to sell books by slamming conservatives. I’d also wager that it will do about as well as the Dice-man’s change of heart. As a matter of fact, I’ll stake out July 2008 in the “Anne’s now ultra-liberal” pool.
“Rap?” Who the hell says “rap” these days when they mean “talk?”
I have a hipster friend who does, and he also says “cats.” But it certainly doesn’t sound cool when Coulter uses the term.

As for her looks, I think she’s more evolved from the horse than from the ape. All told, though, I would probably sleep with her anyway. Actually, “sleep with” implies some sort of emotion or affection - I would fuck her, then run the hell away.
I wonder how much our perceptions of somebody’s physical attractiveness is skewed by our disgust with their stated opinions? If I loved the idea of a monotheocratic dictatorship ruled by very rich people, would I find Coulter hot and Arianna Huffington repulsive, rather than the reverse?
I dunno. I defended Coulter against charges of “ugly” a few years ago, (I believe my assessment was “acceptably attractive”–she ain’t never been cute), but that was based on some 2001 era photos. She has just gotten leaner and meaner and harder over the years and that has nothing to do with her politics.
While no raving beauty, (and clearly bat-shit insane), Michelle Malkin could still be described as “cute” or “physically attractive” and Aricanna Huffington is not more than “acceptably attractive” from my perspective–and a long way from “hot.”

Political alignments probably shape some people’s views, but I suspect that others rate physical beauty on a separate scale from the one they use to determine value as a human being or quality as a political voice.

Can you troll in a somewhat less obvious way, please?

No worries there.

Did you get mad at Andy Kaufman too?

I’m going through the available records to find all the political interview and “Issues Of The Day” type shows that Andy has been on, and all the times he’s been called on as an expert or person of interest when it comes to matters of politics and policy, and I seem to be coming up blank.
If the mainstream media are burning with curiosity about what critics of Darwinism have to say, how about asking me? I can also name any number of mathematicians, scientists and authors who have rejected Darwin’s discredited theory and would be happy to rap with them about it.
Did Ann use the word ‘rap’ as in discuss?
BWWAA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
So, the part of Coulter’s bizarre statement that you felt needed criticism was her use of a slightly old-fashioned slang term?

I’ll take a turn speaking to this, since I also criticized it - I left the rest of her statement alone because an extreme right-wing nutjob acting like an extreme right-wing nutjob doesn’t surprise or interest me. Someone like her using “rap” like she did entertains me.

Change “has” to “had”, of course.

I see your point. I don’t really know Coulter’s cultural background, but “rap” does sound like an affectation, not part of her regular speech.

Well, if Coulter’s aim is to get people talking about her, it works. I just don’t know why she ever gets treated as if she were a respectable commentator.
