I’m 5’4, give or take half an inch. The boyfriend is a shade less than 6’. My ex husband is 6’4, and I once dated a guy who was 6’6. I’m not sure if it’s that I go for tall guys or they go for me.
Of course, once you get over about 5’8, everyone looks more or less the same height to me, unless they’re standing side by side. At that point, all I really process is ‘tall’.
I’m 5’4 and he’s 5’10, so a 6 inch difference. I don’t notice it, always dated much taller guys. He’s the only man I’ve ever met who actually underestimated his height - his driver’s license says he’s 5’6 because “I just guessed”.
I was with a guy who was 6’4. It was a little awkward, I didn’t like that I came up to his mid-chest.
I’m 5’6", he’s 6’6"- so I’m an even foot shorter than he. He often rests his chin on the top of my head. It’s fun to hug him when I’m standing on the bottom stair and he’s standing on the floor - gives me a new perspective, as we’re about eye-to-eye then.
About 4 inches…I’m 5’ 10 1/2", my wife is just under 5’ 7".
The biggest height difference I personally know is between a friend of mine (6’ 7") and his wife (4’ 10"). They have two daughters, which she had difficulty carrying, since they both got dad’s frame.
I was just under 6’1" and my wife was about 7" shorter. We’re both a bit shorter now. Our daughter is about 5’5" and both sons are 6’2".
A former neighbor died the night before last. His ex was 6’ and he was 6’11". They had a son the same height as his father and two daughters, one 6’ like her mother and the other 6’5". She had a T-shirt that read, “I am only 4’29”. Kind of sad, although she was very attractive.
My mother had a friend whose parents were maybe 5’ and 5’6" and she was over 6’. I think there was some hormone imbalance because she had a man’s voice. (She said that ordering bras over the phone was a hoot.) She married a man who was about 6’4" and they had a daughter who was 5’7" with a normal woman’s voice.
My husband and I are both 5’6" and I wish we could just hop in each other’s car and go! I have a short torso and long legs and he is the opposite. I always have to readjust the driver’s seat after he’s used my car. But I often don’t notice until I’ve driven a short distance, and I have to pull over somewhere to make the adjustment, or risk leg cramps.
I’m 5’8", and my husband is 6’8". I’ve never even dated a guy shorter than 6’3" - I have a hard time seeing short men as my equals. Too much time as a big sister, I suppose. If they’re shorter than me, they are obviously there to be bossed around.
Six inches- I’m 5’11" and she’s 5’5". The largest difference I’ve ever been involved with was 9" (she was 5’2") and the shortest difference was 4" (she was 5’7").
