Green Bay Wins Toss
The game is on cable here in Canada, but can’t be found in most homes in the US. How does that work, again?
Green Bay on the board with a FG, 3-0
I am watching it on the internet.
OK, I was discussing it on the internet
Packers robbed of a turnover, much alcohol consumed in Wisconsin.
3-3
litening on the radio, tried your link 56 (FreeFootballRadio.com NFL Teams)
but no joy
(now tied 3-3)

Dallas looks good.
You have to download sopcast to watch it on the net.
I find it interesting in that the SDMB football leagues, of the 14 (of 17) who picked against the spread, only two people took Dallas to cover the 7. And that straight up, of the 21 (of 24) that picked, 15 took Dallas. So most people tend to think that Dallas can win but not cover. I am one of the few that thinks that Green Bay can win straight up.
Oh, I’ve got a dish so I’m watching it on TV. If I had ponied up for the HD package (only reason I haven’t is because now is not a good time to sign a 2-year contract) I’d be watching it in HD.
I’m rooting for GB straight up. Screw Dallas.
How the hell does Greg Gumble still have a job? Does he have some sort of unfirable contract? He was horrible last year.
In regards to the pick’em league, several people put 10+ on Dallas in the confidence league. There’s a 14, a 15, and a 16. Even if you like Dallas to win, I have a hard time thinking that it’s one of the 3 most confident games this week for anyone.
Coming from the guy who said New England wouldn’t cover the spread vs Buffalo…
Favre looks great!
Whee!
Bret just threw that up in the air. Pure desperation.
Bah- why dit BF pick this week to give it to the other team? Do that with BAD teams if you must.
Brian
13-3 the evil team ahead
Who needs Cowboys-Packers, I’m watching Rutgers-Louisville, which is a better game anyway…or so I’m telling myself
Dang, these announcers have no energy whatsoever.
Collinsworth isn’t too bad but Bryant Gumble is boring me to tears.
Nah
And another week I don’t start Ryan Grant in my fantasy league…
Actually this evening for me reminds me of the following exchange from the Homer steals cable episode:
Len: Hey, big fight coming up.
Karl: Yea, you wanna come over to my house and listen to round-by-round
updates on the radio?
Len: Oh, yeah, okay. Oh, and then after the fight, we can watch the
still photos on the 11-o’clock news.
Karl: Not too shabby!
I heard the answer on NPR.
The NFL made their own sports channel and wanted it included in everybody’s cable package. To accomplish that, they snagged about seven or eight games and didn’t sell them to any US network, playing them only on the new NFL network.
Except the cable companies said “Bugger that for a game of soldiers” and put NFL on as an extra charge.
Ergo, anyone not watching online has to pay extra.
