Basketball players are oftentimes portrayed as a bunch of heartless thugs. Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers is doing his part to challenge that stereotype with the wish he granted a West Forsyth student who has less than a month to live. CP3 aggravates me with some of the things he says in interviews, but I think what he did for this kid was a really classy move. What really struck me is how quick he did it and how he addressed the kid as family, saying he’d do anything he could to help them during this time. It’s nice to see a positive story coming from the NBA when most of what you here is negative.
So, what do you think? Classy move or marketing ploy? Both?
