You know how sometimes you get that little tickle in your nose? It’s one of those.
My grandmother passed away early this morning. I’m glad she’s not in pain anymore. The freaky thing is, I woke up suddenly at 1:30 this morning. My uncle called me an hour ago to let me know she had passed away at 1:30. One final connection between the two of us, I guess.
Soapy, that *thing *is horrifying. I’d use a flamethrower on it.

Today is my birthday.
My husband took me to a nice restaurant last night (13 Coins) where I had fresh Dungeness crab cocktail and fresh pan fried oysters. Heaven!
Today we’re going to Emerald Down to watch the horse races from an owner’s box.
The guy whose box it is will be there with two of his horses, so we get to go down to the paddock to see them up close. This is the best birthday ever! :D:cool:
The only bad part is the weather. It’s cool right now, it’s supposed to rain (or not) then the sun’s supposed to come out (or not) What to wear, what to wear…

Well, my last post just came out all kinda whonky! Go Me!
It will never be time to go home, I just know it! I’m at irk forever.
I’m all through whinin’ now.
Yeah, that’s the place, but I had to look it up because to us, it’s Bad Chinese. I know there’s another Chinese restaurant at the other end of that shopping center, past Food Lion, and I don’t know the name of that place either. It’s not very good, but it’s not as bad as the buffet.
And we’ve bought our house from us! 
By refinancing at a lower rate for a shorter time and rolling another debt into the loan, we’ll be about $400 per month to the good and we’ll pay the house off 3 years sooner than if we’d kept the old loan. So yay for that!
After the closing, we both bought new sneakers, then had lunch at Famous Dave’s (new server, slooooooooooooow service) and bought some aquarium salt for a water change. We also noticed that one of our fish is gone, but we don’t know when or how he disappeared. No biggie - he was kinda creepy anyway.

I’ve been having work done on the Foomobile to get it to pass the Merrylande [del]rectal[/del]vehicle inspection. I’ve put about $1000 in a car worth the same amount to fix the deficiencies.
Weeeeeelllllll, I had the time today to put the finishing touches on it: new wipers, changes some bulbs, and the like. Also, when the garage did the brake job, something wasn’t quite right when they finished, so the driver’s side front disk screeched unless I was turning left or stopping. So, I took it back to finish the inspection and fix the screech. Everything should be no charge…
The I got The Call. “Mr. Vunder, your car was inspected on May 21st. Today makes it 34 days since the inspection, and by MerryLande Law, you have just 30. We’ll have to do the inspection all over…”

I’m trying not to freak out today. I’ve been pretty quiet the last couple of weeks because I’m in a constant state of freaking out over money. We (meaning I) had to pay almost $700 last week to keep from getting kicked out of the apartment (we missed 1/3 of two rent payments and the water bill showed up at random as it is wont to do). Now the cellphone bill and power bill are due this week, the rent is due next week, and the cable the week after. I’m so glad that July is a 5-Friday month because that will help me crawl out of the hole.
Culinary Boy got a job yesterday and this one looks like it’ll stick. He’s going in next week to get certified for asbestos removal and then he’ll be travelling around the area doing that. Today he got called in on a renovation job. He had to be there at 7 this morning and I haven’t seen him yet. I had to be at work at 7 this morning and I got off at 3. 
But that’s every workday for me. Him working and making decent money will help a lot.
Sorry for the sudden unloading. I’m a bit flibbertigibbet at the moment.
Now if Catamount U would just get back to me on why I can’t get my username and password for their freaking job site, the day will look up a bit more. I’m about to make up a birthdate just so I can create a new login.
I just signed up for Advanced Ceramics at the Junior college starting in the fall. Tu, Th, 10-1145. Yay for no night class!

Hot again here today, didn’t even threaten to rain. Then I went to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription (Ambien), and they were OUT! There are approximately 4x10[sup]6[/sup] different manufacturers of it, and somehow they ran out. They went to another store to borrow some, then only gave me 15 of 30 (no big, as it’ll last me at least a month anyway), and THEN! THEN! I had to go double-check that it was actually the right drug on the internets, because the label said one manufacturer (Teva, and any pharmacy tech in the country can tell you what those look like), but they were a different color, shape and imprint. I called them to set them straight. Hmmph. I know, mountain out of a molehill, but I expect perfection from pharmacies. If only they’d hired me when they had the chance

He looked almost exactly like this and he didn’t really swim around - he just sorta hung in the water, watching, with those big creepy red eyes… :eek: He was pretty boring, too. Most of the other fish are at least interesting to watch.
