I’m a lover of cakes and chocolates. I like how those taste especially after eating. Now, I’m craving for something new. Do you have anything in mind? Maybe, for another dessert that’s new to me:p
I understand chocolate ripple cakeisn’t much of a thing outside Australia.
It is, however, delicious. If you’ve never had it, it should definitely go on your list
We have a rhubarb patch. I love coursely chopping a few stalks then simmering the pieces with a tablespoon of water. I add zero sugar, my gf thinks that’s ridiculous and always adds some sugar.
Maybe too difficult to make at home, but a Floating Islandis delicious.
Banana pudding makes a great dessert.
I’ve always liked a nice bead pudding. It’s endlessly versatile, stale bread, milk, eggs, a little sugar then go crazy with the add-ons.
I love a good panna cotta… it’s like if whipped cream and jell-o had a delicious baby!
I’ve just discovered baumkuchen. It’s a cake of German origin made by dipping big rollers in cake batter and rotating them in an oven. They’re dipped repeatedly until several layers of baked batter accumulate. The big tube cake is then sliced into thick rings and served up.
But it’s mostly Japanese bakers carrying on this tradition. The baumkuchen I first tried came from a Japanese supermarket. It’s superb. It’s a light yellow moist sponge cake, tasting of vanilla and very lightly coated with a crip sugary glaze.
In fact, I’m going to get some more today.
Here’s a baker in Japan making baumkuchen - it starts at about the 2:45 mark.
I love fruit cobbler. My mom makes it with splenda for sweetening and a nut streusel topping instead of a crust so the carbs are only for the fruit. You can even use frozen fruit to save prep.
Apple Dapple cake is sticky and delicious:
Pavlova, lavender white chocolate panna cotta (I add about 1/2 teaspoon of lavender flowers to this recipe and top with raspberry-orange liqueur ganache. Chocolate Linzertorte.
I saw the photo you sent and I will definitely add it on my lists. It looks really delicious!
