Oh, Johnny, hugs and thoughts for all of you, but as many others have said, she may just need some time to rest and get fluids in her. Poor baby.
She just got some fluids. She didn’t like it one bit. I’ll give her a little semi-liquified food in a couple of hours.
I’m sorry she’s not doing better. We’re still keeping our fingers and paws crossed here. Hugs!
We did subQ fluids for my cat when he went into kidney failure at a young age. t helped him a lot and did begin to feel better, though he hated the treatment. He lived about 5 more years and was pretty healthy right up to the end.
Good luck Creamscle…
I just want to drop in and say good luck. But really, I feel like I know Creamsicle like one of my own cats. I don’t think I’ve known any other animal on the internet for it’s, almost, entire life. Hang in there Cream girl.
Good luck Creamy.
Crap. Their main campus is over by Spokane/tri-cities, but I think that’s also the other side of the state from you.
Keep pushing fluids. She’ll hate it, but it will help if anything can. Do you know how to make a cat taco with a towel to hold her?
I’m so sorry this happened.
I got about a cc of food into her.
Perk up, kitty! We’re all pulling for you!

My cat learned to tolerate her subQ fluids very well. She would sit, unrestrained, on my lap while I administered them. She hated her oral meds. That was much more traumatic for her.
{{{good vibes}}} to Creamsicle.

I hope she gets better. I remember her from you posting a picture. She is one gorgeous kitty.
1cc of food? Or 10cc? 1cc isn’t very much. She needs food to get better. Frequent, small meals (5-10cc) are ideal. The very best of luck. I know it’s hard.
Not a vet, but have been through this.
Think/ask about low dose Valium to help with stress and appetite
1 cc. The vet gave us a 3 cc syringe. I think I filled it to 2 cc or maybe a little more. I got about half of it into her. I’ll try to give her more tomorrow.
How much did the vet recommend you give her each feeding, and how often to feed?
She said 3 cc, but I don’t recall her saying how often.
Creamsicle came out of her hidey hole during the night. And she vomited. She was on the rug in ‘mom’s’ room, so I was able to easily reach her to give her 3 cc of food - which annoyed her greatly. Now she’s hiding under mom’s bed.
When Creamsicle came out of her hidey hole, she went into Mrs. L.A.'s room. She jumped up on ‘mom’s’ bed, which is pretty high. She slept with ‘mom’ most of the night, and then jumped down later to sleep on the floor. So she’s capable of moving, and well enough to care where she is. Based on what we saw over the weekend, and what the vet said when she was there, it seems she’s perkier early in the day.
But the vomited the 1 cc of food I gave her several hours after I gave it to her. I hope she can keep the 3 cc down. I’ll offer her some food on a dish later. If she eats it, great! If not, it’s the syringe again.
IME giving enough of a damn to move around is more important than eating. Paws crossed.
Is she walking or crawling? How often are you doing the subQ fluids?
When she moves, she walks. The vet said to give them to her twice a day, three times would be better.
Creamsicle isn’t in her hiding place. She’s under the coffee table, lying quietly. She shifts onto either side occasionally. I put a little bit of food in front of her, but she wasn’t interested.
