Creamsicle is sick [RIP Creamsicle]

Walking is good. Crawling is bad. If she starts crawling, she needs to go back to the vet. It sounds like she is holding her own at the moment. More fluids is better, if you can manage 3 times a day.

Can you run a towel through the dryer? She might appreciate a warm object to curl up with.

Another 3 cc of food…

Poor Cream, the evil Siamese that keep me prisoner said to keep up hope. Good {{{{vibes}}}}

I have her another 3 cc of food at noon, three quarters of an hour ago. She just puked it up.

She’s not getting any better. I don’t know how much longer I can hold myself together. :frowning:

I just gave her about 100 cc of fluid (from 3 to 4 on the bag). It was my first time. She seems to have trouble standing.

That’s not as much as you could have given her (so don’t worry that you’ve given her too much). Where did you give it, and were you careful to give it under the skin but not into the muscle?

{{{hugs}}}

ETA: stop giving her food for now, and try again tomorrow perhaps. She’s clearly still nauseous. Fluids is the most important thing.

ETA: Are you keeping Tonka in right now too? I’m guessing she ate something outside that she should not have. I know he doesn’t roam as much, but it might be prudent to keep him inside. Someone in my neighborhood was poisoning animals at one point. :frowning:

I did a quick check on other environmental causes of kidney failure. There are plants that she could have eaten. She could also have caught an animal, like a rat, that had been poisoned.

From what I can tell, her best change is likely WSU. You might call them and see if they think they can help, before deciding.

I don’t think she’d live through the trip.

She’s worse. When she tries to get up, she cries. When I pick her up, she can’t stand. She’s lying still and breathing rapidly and (it seems) shallowly. I think the end is near. I hope Mrs. L.A. gets home soon.
ETA: Mrs. L.A. is home.

.

Oh gosh, I’m so very sorry. I was so hoping to check in and hear good news.

I’m so sorry. Just love her and be with her.

nm. Just read your last post. I’m so sorry.

Please take her to the vet if you can. From what you describe, she is in terrible pain. She will pass on her own, but it will be a horrid death. (I’m sorry, but I’m speaking from experience.) If you can take her in, it will be a kindness.

I am so, so sorry.

The vet is closed today. She’s asleep and not in distress. If she survives the night, we will take her in first thing in the morning. (If she doesn’t, we will take her in first thing in the morning for cremation.) :frowning:

:frowning:

I was thinking poisoning, too. Poor kitty. My thoughts are there with you. So, sorry.

My heart is just breaking for you. :frowning:

I’m very sorry, my heart hurts for you.

I’m so very sorry, Johnny.

If you do a google search for emergency vet, there’s quite a few hits in Washington & Oregon. I don’t know if she can be saved, but if her condition worsens, there might be somewhere close you can take her.

I’m so very sorry. It is so sad to see our friends in pain. I wish you both a peaceful night.

Very sorry that your sweet girl is failing. My thoughts are with you and yours.
