Creativity Test

Find out just how creative you are!

Or, as in my case, how uncreative you are. I scored only a few points above typical–64 over typical 59. A bit disappointing, I always though I was a little more creative than that.

Although, some of their “metrics” are a little weird. For example, apparently “boldness” (not being afraid of what others think of you) has something to do with being creative.

I’m not just bitter because I got a low score (ok, maybe a little), I’d be skeptical of any quick test for purporting to test creativity.
I’m curious about how they interpret the answers to get these results. Especially after my score dropped to 60 after I gave them an email address. Hmm…

At any rate, who doesn’t love taking random internet tests? It is rather fun. So I thought I’d share.

So what do you think of this “creativity” test? And whaddya score?

(And if you’d like to congratulate me on my first-ever-very-own-thread, I won’t object  )

I got a 65.

I think “boldness” has to do with a willingness to go your own way - to “act out” creatively.

Got 59.

Bang on about my lack of persistance and higher than average curiosity. Gimme a new toy and I bored with it after 10 minutes, than want to play with another one.

 1. I demand a recount.

77
Above “typical” on everything. Scored heavily on connection, curiosity, boldness, paradox, and complexity. Lighter on persistence, abstraction, and perspective.

Huh.

I got 90, not bad really. Maybe I should have done drama at school afterall

 1. The brick question threw me and ultimately threw my score off. Bricks? They are for breaking windows, of course.

I got a 69…and really high scores on complexity, curiosity and boldness…who wudda thunk?

 1. Yikes!

Scored high in paradox, complexity and perspective. Low in boldness, persistence and curiosity.

I agree with all that except the curiosity part. And the final score.

Happy

I got a 41.

I’m a writer for christ’s sake.

I’m an entertainment/features writer/editor.

Maybe we’re showing how creative we are by doing it differently.

Kind of like how I’m rebelling by not getting a tattoo  .

What would it take to get a zero?

Q: How many uses can you think of for a brick?
A: A brick.

Would that get a zero? It might be fun to try.

 1. Complexity, Abstraction, Paradox and Boldness baby, yeah!
 1. That’s around what I expected.

One question: Wet and armadillo?!

I got an 80. Think putting “dental tool” as a response to the brick question got me bonus points?

I got a 73. High scores in complexity, boldness, curiosity and connection.

74
green_bladder, Wet and armadillo have Texas in common, duh.

53: Above average slightly in Paradox and Perspective. Below in abstraction, curiosity and boldness.

Profession: IT Support

Wet and Armadillo? I got nothin’ on that one.
what people say for brick uses? I don’t want to spoil other’s responses so…
Think mine were: (not in this order) Weapon, doorstop, building, weight, displacing water in a toilet cistern. I just wrote ‘water’ for that one cuz I think several words together might have choked the thing up.

Funnily enough I’ve never connected ‘wet’ with Texas, maybe becasue I’ve never been there. Possibly the test is biased for Americans. If they’d said Wet and North and given Manchester as a choice I would have been golden.
How exactly can one judge creativity. I don’t dismiss the test, because I have no idea how its scored. But I don’t see how you can judge, score, or otherwise measure creativity via a set of standard questions. Does anyone have any insight on this test, or any similar tests?

Well, aside from that, my score was 76, Higher in boldness, and curiosity, and paradox.
