Watch it, it is pretty cool. http://homepage.mac.com/jbrimm/Cat-With-Hands.mov
That closing ditty really clinches the film.
I believe I’ll read some very, very light fiction before bed tonight.
Damn. Creepy indeed, but you’re right…very cool; thanks for the link.
Great short! Very Gaimanesque. Lets see what happens the next time you wake in the middle of the night with the moonlight streaming through your windows and Kitty sitting at the foot of your bed trying quite hard to look bored but still studying you just a bit too intently:)
Someone posted this a while back. (Unfortunately, I can’t search now. :p)
I’ll repeat what I said there:
Really, really neat, and v. creepy. Particularly the flashback. There’s something about the way they move that is especially cringe inducing.
I did! I did!
Gaudere has more drawing power than I (as is just and right).
I loved it. A friend of mine that worships (almost literally) Gainmen sent it. I do have to say, it convinces me in my superiority in being a Dog lover. Dogs would never do that crap
I ran a search, Achren, but didn’t see your previous thread. When I first played the film I was not expecting the way it turned out, I was like “Oh, how nice, it’ll be a cute little fable about a cat …AAAAH!”
I first saw this effectively creepy film at the San Francisco International Film Festival 2 years ago. I’m glad that the internet is providing a second life for worthwhile shorts that would otherwise get lost in obscurity.
Very cool and creepy. (And I’m glad I don’t have any cats.)
But doesn’t the old guy look just like Captain Kangaroo for about the first 20 seconds?
Tis here.
I wonder why it didn’t come up?
…I had to remove Quicktime from the computer because it is so evil. Any way to play a .mov w/o that program?
How cool was that?
What no one is gonna make the obvious Cat Got Your Tongue comment?
Of course not. That’d spoil the ending. I had to resist the urge in the other thread.
