Our death bowling isn’t good enough for this.
We’re not even at the halfway point and I feel reasonably comfortable in saying England have lost this. They’re going to set no target of substance - may not even get through to the 20th over. The Ali dismissal was brainless - leave it alone and it’s a wide. Root, most unlike him, seemed to panic a bit and feel that he needed to try something he didn’t need to.
There won’t be any death overs to bowl in.

could 150 be fighting score due to pressure of finals? We will see.
I missed a lot of the England innings as I was out for a walk (got a bad back, needed to move a bit) and came back right before Root was out. I genuinely thought we were on a disaster, but this is now doable. Difficult but doable.
The tail (if it is a tail, given Willey has a domestic T20 100 to his name and Rashid at 11 has first class tons to his name) worked very hard to give themselves something to bowl at - but I think England are 20 runs short. They’re going to need to take wickets early to try and ramp the pressure up.

Fuck - didn’t quite manage to get Samuels, dropped Bravo in the deep and now they’re in position to really swing from the hips at the end of the innings.
Spoke to soon - obviously - earlier; we are going to have to bowl well at the depth. We should at least get there.
