These shows came on before I was born but I am definitely aware of them, Good Times and The Jeffersons.
The 2 shows were related but never actually crossed that I know of… I would have like to have seen JJ and Micheal go to George’s house and they would be impressed because George was a rich black man. Then Micheal would look up to George as a role model.
Columbo Vs The Saint.
The Draka meet the Dorsai!
(Shameless plug for this thread: http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=219683.)
Heh. I once wrote a quickie fanfic story about THE JEFFERSONS limo breaking down outside of the SANFORD AND SON junkyard. Fred tries to seduce Weezy and he and George end up in a fistfight.
Either that, or despise him as a sellout who Got His while nothing for the black community. The ensuing arguments would be fun to watch.
Normally Micheal would say that about a rich black man but George was very “pro-black” the opposite of someone like Archie Bunker, BTW did you see the time George and Archie met at that fancy party.
That would have been a good one too. I say the fight would have been a tie .
You’d think so – but no. George talks the most shit, but in the end, Fred fakes a heart attack then coldcocks him with a bottle of Ripple.
How about Phil Foglio crossing over with Neil Gaiman’s Sandman.
Oh, what, it’s already been done and it’s cannon.
Goglio wrote a remake of the sixties comic “Stanley and his Monster”, and it integrated the fact that hell was undergoing a change of management in Sandman.
Recently, Judd Winick had a darker take on the same kid & monster team, while still having Stanley be an innocent kid, (well, he was innocent) and the monster stilling being a good guy. It appeared in the newest Green Arrow series.
The Crimson King meets the King in Yellow!
(I’m halfway through Stephen King’s The Dark Tower: VII. And Robert W. Chambers has fascinated me since adolescence.)
The X Files and 24. It’d make for an amusing contrast in styles.
Yeah, but how would you be able to tell them apart?
If you want a Vertigo crossover, how about making John Constantine the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor?
Chapter 1: Newcastle, or How NOT to exorcise a demon.
Ha! John would manage to get half the class killed by the end of the year.
JLA meets the Authority.
Superman has a fit at the Authority’s methods. Plas gets a lifetime of material pointing out the similarity between Apollo/Midnighter and Superman/Batman. Batman gets even MORE convinced his plans to take down the League if they get out of hand were a good idea.
Battlestar Galactica/Battlestar Galactica.
Just because. I bet the Starbucks would hook up.
Better yet The Borg vs the Cylons
A literary/TV crossover: Enoch Root (Neal Stephenson’s Baroque Cycle and Cryptonomicon turns out to be McLeod’s former mentor.
I’d love to see Jack McCoy (Law & Order) prosecute a guilty-as-hell celebrity client who is being defended expertly by Grace Van Owen, Victor Sifuentes or another McKenzie & Brackman alumni from L.A. Law.
One of the candidates from West Wing (either Alda’s or Smits) could be found to have accepted illegal contribution from Dallas oil billionaire J.R. Ewing.
Lois (Malcolm in the Middle) receives a visit from her high-school nemesis best-friend turned enemy Marcia Brady. Lois is still mad that Marcia stole her boyfriend, now a Nobel Prize Winner, entomologist Harvey Klinger.
Kelso from That Seventies Show should learn that his biological father is fellow Milwaukee native Warren “Potsy” Webber.
I’d love to see this, and have thought about it on numerous occasions - I just can’t help but think that with the Doctor, the Authority will trounce the League in the pre-teamup scuffle that always ensues. And when the Authority trounces someone, they tend to stay trounced.
On the other hand, Jack Hawksmoor and Aquaman can have a debate about whose power is more limited by where it can be used effectively.
“The Osbournes” become Hyacinth’s new neighbors on “Keeping Up Appearances”.
I could have sworn I remembered this having already happened, but I can find nothing on Amazon.
Perhaps you’re thinking of the JLA/Planetary “crossover.”
Yes, thanks.
