CSI Season Finale thoughts? [Spoiler discussion]

Tonight’s the night… come on people. Tunneling zombies rocks, but we got to hear more!

Hey, if I get to share a box with George Eads…

Todays New York Daily News, TV critic, gave tonights show a Four Star Rating. Do Not Miss It!

They already did an episode where someone was buried in a box in the desert, didn’t they?

I seem to remember Gil rushing to the scene after the woman is located by a thermal-camera-equipped helicopter, and screaming “Ma’am – this is Gil Grissom of the Las Vegas Crime Lab. You’re going to be fine!”

Or was that some other flavour of CSI? Are there any desert areas around Miami? (Yes, I know this is a stupid question.)

I remember this vaguely–it was an episode where a woman and her lover duped the woman’s husband and ran off, then the lover double-crossed her and forced into a dug grave at gunpoint, before burying her. Jolene Blalock (of Enterprise) was playing the lady…

Found it–it was episode 3 of season 1, “Crate ‘n’ Burial”.

Wow, John Saxon. Nice touch.

Also, I think Nick’s mom is Eddie Child’s daughter who was a Bond girl.

Most amazing CSI episode ever.

I cried all the way through it.

George Eads is an amazing actor. I just wanted to hug him.

Ok, once the found where the box was, why didn’t they start puping oxygen (or at least air) down the pipes? that way theye didn’t need to worry about the fan battery dieing.

Brian

Darn it!! I started a new thread about this and when I submitted it, I found this thread right underneath it! Darn it!

Anyways, wasn’t that AMAZING?? Can anyone tell me what happened in the first 30 minutes? I missed that part. I wanted to hug Nick and I cried during the second half. It was so intense, amazing, fantabulous! I love Quentin Tarantino. I love George Eads. Just…WOW.

I’d hug him even if his acting was crap.

Well when the timer went off, it was all estimated so they didn’t really know how far gone he was. And they still couldn’t definitely know they had the right location.

Did you hear George talking about how Quentin got the results he wanted from him during the burial scenes? Once he was in and just before filming, Quentin got up next to the air vent and started wispering into the box “George, your mother is watching, she’s watching you die.”

Understandably, it creeped him out right proper.

Wow, that is creepy.

Great episode. I’m not convinced you could actually anonymize a server, but that’s a minor nit. Tarantino really ratcheted up the tension; it was one of the best episodes of any show on TV I’ve seen in ages.

I was a little concerned this was going to turn into a “super criminal genius from some past episode plants series of diabolical clues which would be completely undetectable to anyone except Grissom, because he’s meant to find them”.

I hate those.

One thing that I thought odd was the finding of the prototype casket. Shouldn’t they have been using the ground-density radar thingy to search the warehouse where Saxon went kablooie, on the reasonable assumption that Eads was buried there? The fact that Greg finds it by pure accident seems contrived.

CSI really has gone to pot this season, and I gave up in disgust. Have to say, this night’s episode was one of the best ever. The acting was fantastic; the direction was fantastic. All in all, a great show.

Which shows me that the problem has been in the direction.

I missed the final scene with Nick talking to the Jail Sex Slave. What was said?

Nyah! Nyah! BITCH! I hope you rot in there!" Then he twirled his cane and sauntered off.

OK, no. But that’s what should have happened.
