Is the sequel to the first cube worth watching. I liked the first one a lot and it obviously leaves a lot of unanswered questions regarding what the hell is the cube for, who built it, etc.
Is the Cube2 worth seeing does it answer the questions one would have after watcing the first one.
Cube 2 was ok except, IMHO, for the ending:

Yeah, the ending was a Very Bad Idea.
[spoiler]The mystery of “who made this and why?” is kind of fundamental to the whole feel of the movie. That it could be a machine that grew out just because bureaucracy is so stupid and no one department really understood what the other was doing… now that was cool and kinda creepy.
The whole military-corporate partnership thing – Oo! Eeeeevil corporation and complicit government experimenting on innocent civilians… :rolleyes: that totally wrecked it with such a bad cliche![/spoiler]
It’s not as good as the first one. Granted I wouldn’t say the first one was really “good” but it was enjoyable in its own way.
Its kind of like the first one redone with a slightly new spin and not thought through as well.
The ending is disappointing as far as following up on the unanswered questions.
shrug I found it watchable.
Cube 2 was all right conceptually, in that it made the new Cube more complex and more perplexing than the first film.
However, while the concept had been improved, the dramatic tension had been lessened. The first Cube was more dramatic and more suspenseful, and frankly held my attention longer. I found the second one interesting, but in the end a lesser movie.
Also, the effects in Cube 2 are mainly digital, which I felt runied it. The somewhat low-budget effects of the original gave it a raw feeling, while the digital effects of the new one look too clean… again, it made the movie less exciting.
And yeah, as Lumpy mentions, the ending sort of sucks.
